I’m assuming Rose and Dabo are out.

First half (first team):

Marosi
Pask McFadz Hyam
Dacosta Kelly Hamer Giles
O’Hare Allen
Godden

Edited Second half:

Wilson
Pask/Dacosta Drysdale Williams Mason
Eccles
Allen Shipley
Jones Baka Hilßner

Something like that anyway.

Can’t see past a Rangers win I’m afraid. Purely because of fitness levels and stage of pre season. Result doesn’t matter anyway.

So probably Jones for Dacosta with Allen dropping to wing back (to save Dacosta playing 90 minutes)

Shit totally forgot about Jones. Sorry Jodi!

Going to edit now. Reckon we might see a formation change.

Everyone sleeping on big Wes Jobello - is he still injured?

What's Kastaneer doing these days?

From what I’ve seen Kasta is in full training Jobello just running at the moment

Jobello will most likely be out until Octoberish I'd imagine. Kastaneer taking over the role of Sky Blue Sam.

Wins in pre season aren’t necessary for a successful season. A good competitive 45 minutes for the majority of the squad will be much more beneficial.

What we’re past season’s present season results? I don’t remember thinking at the time we looked like winning the league.

You are right, we didn't light it up really. Last season we thumped Leamington I think 4 or 5. Remember Pask getting one and Max scored a pen. Then we drew 0-0 with Liverpool u23's and I thought Jobello was going to be our key man this season, might have happened but for the unfortunate injury. Didn't go to any of the others but have a vague memory of us beating Swindon at their place possibly 0-1?

Looking forward to seeing us play for the first time in months, even if it isn’t in person.

If Dabo/Rose are out, then our strongest team is probably;

Marosi
Rose McFadzean Hyam
Pask Kelly Hamer Giles
O’Hare Allen
Godden

(Didn’t realise how much I missed typing out our predicted team!).

I’d expect to see Jones, Shipley, Dacosta, Westbrooke, Bakayoko, Hilsner and Eccles to all get a good run out too.

I’m in Newcastle for the weekend, so I’m tempted to watch it in a pub on my iPad, in my Cov shirt with my 11 month old in her full kit. I would say a pub in Sunderland but I don’t want to die.

Says a lot about Rose that even when he’s out injured he’s still in our best team

Not sure MR would change formations other than due to necessity because if he wants to try something else out he'd want his first choice players trying it rather than the reserves/mixed. Will be more about fitness so I think he'll mi up experience and youth both halves.

So I'd say

Marosi
Pask Williams Hyam
Dacosta Hamer Allen Mason
O' Hare HilBner
Godden

Wilson
Thompson Fadz Drysdale
Rowe Kelly Eccles Giles
Shipley Westbrooke/Jones
Baka/Biamou

Agree with that but didn’t know if any of the u23s team would be going, saying that he brought bapaga to Spain last year.

That game made me laugh. Pask actually got 2 but 1 was given to Kastaneer as his shot he sliced it and was probably going 10 yards wide but smashed Pask in the face and went in!

In terms of Rangers. Fully expect a comfortable defeat for no other reason that we haven't played a competitive game in 4 months and only in 2nd week of full training. Result is meaningless but getting minutes into the team and the new boys crucial. Looking forarad to seeing us play though.

Update looks like Jobello is still at St Georges park with a couple of others doing training

Thought Dabo was meant to be missing the first month of the season according to “ITKs”?

It's City and we often have pre-season disasters; best case in point Lee Hurst and Gouldy's brilliant idea to have the lads train on army assault course.

O'Hare. Cruciate. First 10 minutes. Season ending injury. Later blamed on match fitness. Instant throw away of the Sky Blue Afro that I have lined up for next season.

I would say the fact that people knew Dabo and Rose were injured proves they have at least some inside knowledge. Recovery periods can change. Not like they’ve made it all up.
