Jordan Clarke and joe Murphy need to have a good look at themselves for some of them goals! Need to be more alert ! Wilson took his 2nd very well

Our coaching staff will have nightmares about their 4th. Take out the physical assault from that big lump Davies on Webster, the ball landed about a foot away from Jordan Clarke and he just walked away expecting a free kick. Then Murphy comes out and actually looks away from the ball as he puts his hands out. I hope the staff showed them that goal again and again at training this morning.

All 4 looked poor goals to concede
First 2 are from corners, Murphy possibly could have came for the cross on the third and the fourth, Clarke went to sleep and Murphy dived in when he didnt need to

That's probably the worst ever defensive display I've seen by a City team over the years. Playing in the 3rd division and leaking goals left, right and centre. We're going nowhere but down unless the defence can be shored up

They really are awful goals to concede. It has to stop now. Make yourself solid, hard to break down, cut out mistakes, clear the ball. These are the foundations, if you keep a clean sheet you got half a chance, if you keep a clean sheet and score goals and carve teams open like the way we are, we're unstoppable. I can't believe some of the goals we have conceded this season, yes as a few say they were scrappy bad luck goals but come on!

Their second goal Daniels has a chance to put the ball in either row Z or 30 yards over the half way line and he slices it 20 foot in the air, putting pressure on himself to then deal with the high ball which he doesn't and their boy scores the goal of his life. If Daniels smashes at into row z, he doesn't score. I've already touched on the 4th goal, i'm still fuming about it now. Clarke and Murphy, criminal defending there.

How many goals have we conceded from a throw in, corner or free kick in the box and not dealt with the second ball, the second phase! We win the first header and like Daniels, instead of clearing it we keep it in the danger zone and they score. It's awful defending and I can't believe after 4-5 weeks of the season gone it's still happening. It's as if the fans have been ground down so much by this SISU/ACl bollox that we are accepting shocking defending because we are also scoring at the same time. We are on -3 points, we could have won every game so far this season if we hadn't conceded goals from awful awful individual errors. 2 players out, next port of call HAS to be another defender because there will be a time when we don't score 4 a game...but will we cut out the ridiculous errors?

Rant over. I'm loving all these goals, Wilson has been a revelation, you know what you are going to get with Clarke and as my Sheff Wed buddy always says, he will score a hatful in league 1. I really like Adams and Christie at the back, I like Jordan Clarke a lot but as a team we have to defend better and this has to be something Pressley focus's on. The answer? Maybe that Martin lad from Saints, I don't know.

Interesting....Coventry in 8 goal thriller...7 replies and 599 views, compared to the thousands of views and comments on the other non footballing threads. Have we become obsessed with bad news and SISU, unless its a SISU related thread people don't seem to be interested! That is quite sad for a Coventry City FC forum - I could understand it if we had been battered...but 4-4.

Maybe you missed Dunn and Edjenguele leaving which means we can now sign 2 new players ( or 1 using 75% of there combined wages)
