Theres a few pubs on the road directly outside the away end, forget the names of them now but we normally start at one end of the road and work our way down. Can't see many going but that normally co-incides with a good performance!

The Cricket Club sounds spot on, hopefully they'll be showing the Scouse semi-final.

The pubs behind the away end are 'home fans only' and could potentially be a bit lively if you're wearing colours. The cricket club is usually packed solid and stinks of cooking. The town centre is a couple of hundred yards away and a far better bet with a couple of 'spoons and The Bridge pub on Bridge Street is worth a look for decent beer.

The pubs behind the away end are fine. Been in them all every time we've been there since relegation.

Burnley away details?

Basically I'm going to Burnley on Saturday and am thinking about getting the coach. So does anyone know If I order the tickets today can I collect them from the Ricoh on Saturday morning or do I need to pick them up from Turf Moor?

Cheers

Official website says that any tickets not collected ny 10am on Saturday will go on the club coach and you will then have to collect them from Burnley.

That's OK. If we're ahead again that could be the only way we hang on to the lead.

There is a nice free car park up from the fire station, just follow the signs for away fans. I always park there. About 10 minute walk to the ground. There is street parking available as well.

burnley match thread!

TEAM NEWS

Burnley hope to have Marvin Bartley in the squad to face Coventry, after he missed the 2-1 win over Doncaster with a tight hamstring.

Jay Rodriguez still is not ready to return after a hip injury, but Danny Lafferty, who scored for the reserves midweek, could be included.

Relegation-threatened Coventry hope strikers Alex Nimely, Cody McDonald and Clive Platt will be passed fit.

Richard Keogh (ankle) and Chris Hussey (hamstring) also trained on Thursday.

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

• Burnley hold a 23 wins to 12 lead over Coventry from 47 league and cup clashes spanning a century.

• A last minute goal from Charlie Austin secured a 2-1 win for Burnley in the reverse fixture, and put them on course for a fourth double over Coventry in a decade.

• Coventry have registered one win in seven league meetings with the Clarets. Their 2-2 draw at Turf Moor in March 2011 was Andy Thorn's first game in charge, in a caretaker capacity.

Burnley

• Six points outside the play-offs with four to play leaves Burnley contemplating whether they will competing in the Championship again next season. If so, it will be their 11th campaign in 12 years at this level, and third in a row.

• Eddie Howe's charges have won 17 and lost 17 of their 42 league matches, and are hunting the three points that would complete their fifth double, after home and away victories over Brighton, Hull, Nottingham Forest and Doncaster.

• But they have lost 10 of their 22 games against bottom-half clubs.

Coventry City

• Coventry are in grave danger of dropping into the third tier of English football, where they last competed in 1964. They have only won nine league games all season, and are four points from safety having lost a crunch match against fourth bottom Bristol City on Easter Monday.

• The 22nd placed Sky Blues have only beaten Hull on their Championship travels, and picked up a measly eight points on the road.

• When last relegated from the second tier of English football in 1952, they had five more victories than they have currently, but had lost one more match from the 42 fixtures.

Can't understand why Deagan is not on the bench though (unless injured) why a totally inexperienced Willis?
Deagan can be a match winner, can make a difference.

Controversial but i like David Bell. At his best he can be a great link to quickly provide an attcking ball out of nothing. Shame he is very rarely consistent. But at least we have some more natural width for the first time in weeks.
