Surely it’s because there would be a large number of call-offs as many players will not be available due to the game versus Wrexham. Gives them the chance to join the end of season celebrations. Games will be made up midweek.
Most of the local teams went over to the Leamington leagues over the past year or two. Its a far nicer league.
Teams and Players have had enough of attempts to break their legs by some still pissed up cokeheads.
Yes, this is true. I was General Secretary for 13 seasons, but resigned in 2019/20. Mainly due to lack of interest/ teams folding etc. There was talk if merging with Nuneaton Sunday League but I don't know hpw that went as I'm living in Thailand now.
When I was younger there were 15 divisions
District had 2 premier divisions 5 senior and 5 intermediate. central had a further 3 divisions. So around 180 teams. Probably 2500 players. How can that disappear

And the weird level of faux alpha dominance from some failed players trying to portray themselves as the big man and it ending up in ligament injuries.

Think this will happen. A few cov teams mobed over to Nuneaton & Bedworth last few season. They are also attracting HInckley & District teams. Could be quite a big structue next season. But on the flip side some south Cov teams could be travelling to Barwell and the likes.
I played Sunday League for pub team for a few years in the late 90s. Fed up of getting kicked and "offered out" by blokes still reeking of booze, so packed it in and just played 5-a-side on a Sunday afternoon. In retrospect, my silver Nike R9 boots were probably a mistake.
Nothing quite as funny as watching my lad (17) ref an adult county cup game and an actual senco from a local primary school verbally abuse him after the game cause they lost.

not surprising, there were only 4 teams in Division 1 this season, used to be loads of teams. So sad it’s had to fold, was the best cure for a hangover, rolling out of a club at 3am and playing football 8 hours later,
