How was it? I've seen them twice before but in that venue must've been pretty special!

They were fantastic. That size venue really suits them.
New album out today!

Libertines at HMV was decent value for money this week...multi story car park was a bit minging..and if you werent from Cov you would feel a bit nervous...but great to have a music venue in town. Well done Young Rooney lad!!

Special mention to support band - The Feet. Not form Cov but formed when they were at Uni in Cov.

that car park is in a disgraceful state. given that gigs at the empire are likely to attract people from outside the city its not exactly encouraging them to return

Better than the last time I went to Brum to be fair. There was a guy shooting up in his groin in the car park

That’s very judgmental of you Chief. If you get caught short and need a quick hit straight to the groin just to see you through the next hour what do you expect someone to do?

Usually gangs of crackheads.

Made the mistake of parking in there when I had my daughter, never again. Will just go to Salt Lane and walk.

I’m off to see Elvana tonight at The Empire. Maybe one for fans of Nirvana rather than Elvis…

Other way round. Saw them in Birmingham year before last. Novelty wears off after a song or two. Daft novelty act really.

You think more Elvis?
Well, I’m there for their nirvana. They are daft but good fun I think.
Will be nice to go to Cov, not just for the football.

Haven't got the stamina for stuff like that these days. Must be going soft in my old age...

Sounds like a similar vantage point to mine. People were properly going for it/getting a sweat on.

In Cardiff Every other person appeared to be wearing an Idles tshirt.

Need to give a shout out to Joe at Sink or Swim. His gigs are usually worth a look whether you've heard the bands or not.

Not technically a gig, but if you get the chance, go and see "Two Pints" at the Belgrade.

It's brilliant.

Went to see this last night @JAM See and I’m with you it was brilliant!

Proper laugh out loud funny for a very simple concept and with some very important themes which sadly us men just don’t address with friends (or family for that matter!).

Also, teed me up nicely to explain to the Missus why it’s so important for me to sit in the boozer with my mates and not go out with her. Probably not what Roddy Doyle wanted people to take away from it but you have to take every opportunity!!!
