Just wondering about Godiva this year, not if any of these are council events but doesn't bode well if commercial ventures.

Tickets go on sale at the end of the month I think, line up starts to be announced early next week

Not keen on the line up this year personally but can’t deny they’re both good bookings

Going to the Chris Moyles 90’s hangover show tonight at the Arena.

My partner booked it, so I haven’t paid much attention and assumed it was in the exhibition hall. It’s not, it’s in the stadium!

So it’s going to be carnage with ticket scanning I bet, and probably bloody freezing!

How can it be in the stadium? Surely not covering the pitch mid season?

It is on the website as in the stadium and talks about standing and golden circle but surely it can't be. Who schedules an outdoor event for the start of March, not to mention are 40K plus going to turn up to watch Moyles DJ

Must be in the hall and they've listed in wrong

Are you sure it's in the stadium??

They only have standing tickets so why would they?

I genuinely hadn’t paid any attention until today but tickets state entrance via the North Stand and list a gate.

I hope it’s just vaguely (and poorly) worded and it is inside the exhibition hall. As if not it seems bizarre on many levels!

That'll be a suite I'd have thought certainly no traffic building up for the stadium!

I dunno if they’re coming to Cov but if they do I can recommend going to see ‘Oh My God It’s the Church’.
I saw them last night in Cardiff. Funny, entertaining and most important, really good!

Don’t. Be. A. Dick.

As I was posting I thought they might’ve…maybe talked about it on here already!

Their social media stuff is quite funny too. Alas, I missed them when they supported Elvana

Going to this at the London Road Anglican Chapel in September:

Kraftwerk - a tribute - Historic Coventry Trust

Two all-time classics of British rock music, Mike Oldfield's "TUBULAR BELLS" and Pink Floyd's "DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" just celebrated their 50th anniversary.
www.historiccoventrytrust.org.uk

They had an evening of Tubular Bells and Dark Side Of The Moon interpreted by the same guy, but it had sold out by the time I became aware.

See you there torch.
It's the same day as the Swansea game, so don't get too twatted at the match!

Tried to but couldn't get a signal.

Thought it was a good show, should have been a tight 90 minutes. The last couple of videos were not really up my street.

Glad I went through.

I was there near the front.

Enjoyed the 70s section and the first half. Thought after the break it was a little disappointing. Doing "Wow" and a bunch of tracks in the "style' of kraftwerk was a bit odd. Plus Neon Lights with those awful singers.

Yeah, those AI generated photos of women seemed a little inappropriate.

Went to the Tom Grennan busking event at Fargo last night, I know he gets some stick, but he doesn't half give a lot back to Coventry.

Yeah he stood out for an hour or so having photo's with every one. Would've stayed ourselves, but the kids hadn't had tea and was starting to get close to bed time

Mike Peters from The Alarm playing HMV Empire on Saturday night, a friend is missing the game as she doesn't think she can get home and back to the gig in time after the game & doesn't want to probably miss the last chance to see him live.

What time is the gig? Surely he’s not going to be on before 8 even if he’s playing for hours. Loads of time to get into town.

Blaze game starts at 7 and I’ve never missed the start when it’s been the same day as city are at home.

I think the gig starts at 8 but my friend lives in Birmingham and is meeting with others in Coventry at 7. With the ongoing traffic issues she'll be lucky to be home by 7, she didn't get home after the Spurs game until 11:30!

My facilities are the car I use to drive the 335 miles to the CBS. I suggested taking a change of clothes but she has made up her mind & there is not much that can be done to change a woman's mind

Surely she could arrange to change at one of the the people she's meeting there, but I'm possibly assuming to much tbf! anyhow!

How was it? I've seen them twice before but in that venue must've been pretty special!
