In Benidorm on Sunday for Wrexham game. Any recommended bars where Cov fans be at?

I watched the Portsmouth game in Benidorm, as we were here for a family event on my partners side. We were due home yesterday but we had to extend as she has some sort of bug, due home today all being well but it’s 50/50!!

I started the below thread with the same question. I opted for the Tartan Bar as it had Cov flags up in a photo posted. But other than a few flags there’s no signs it’s a Cov bar tbh, people behind the bar had zero interest (+ were quite rude), there were only 2 other Cov fans in when it kicked off and it was pretty grim overall. However by the end of the game there were about 10 other Cov fans in there so some Cov related atmosphere.

It might have been a bad day for them behind the bar or something when I went, so probably worth a recce to see what you think.

I can't see Lampard keeping MVE out of the game. He is the one that makes our squad tick with his antics and will want to play.

We will be lifting the trophy and those who deserve it the most will be on the pitch to give us the win.
Depends how hung over he is. 😂

Really owe this fuckers a loss.

Fucked is up royally over the last 5 years-always seem to have the hoodoo over us.

Really don’t mind their success but fucking hate their manager too.

Get an early goal and fuck up their play off hopes with a resounding win from the Skyblues.

Nah not a hoodoo yet. Especially if we win tomorrow.
Game earlier in the season was an away game against a play off contender, with most the defence missing. Result wasn't that surprising.
The cup game was different and aside from the results towards the end of his time here, was probably the most angry I'd been with Robins. It still annoys me now, it was embarrassing. If you look at the team we put out, we were asking for it, I mean... just look at it!
When the big guns came on we walked through them even with 10 men but it was too late.

Moore was dreadful in that game.

You don’t need to leave MVE out, partner him with KKH down the right.

The reason MVE / Tats works so well is how they interchange and cover each other. Tats is out, Esse hadn’t done much and assuming Markelo isn’t fit, I’d much rather see kKH as an experiment than BTA. Lamps would learn something new and I genuinely think it could work, giving us a future backup plan.

It’s not like we’re putting an outfield player in goal, the two positions aren’t much different the way modern wing backs play. MVE could do the more forward job too, but his recovery pace is better than KKH and helps make up for the lack of pace Thomas and Kit h have on the turn.

Absolutely awful. But if you consider Wrexham were easily upper League 2/lower League 1 standard despite being a national league team at the time, what standard would you say the team we put out was? In places I'd say it was lower.

Moore was so bad I’d have taken him off for his own sake. He just looked broken in the same way Collins did last season.

We also had a freak outbreak of illness at the most fixture intensive and punishing part of the season. Without that I think we’d be pushing 100 points in all seriousness.

Yes we got hit with injuries, suspensions and illness at the same time. I never saw our bad run as a sudden loss of form or us bottling it. There were obvious reasons for it.

The only worry was would it affect confidence and moral. But we know the answer to that don't we. I think the performance of the season was away at Middlesbrough (and there has been quite a few good performances). It has been a squad effort to achieve what we have achieved, they are very together and supportive of each other.

I think we will start with a very similar team to Portsmouth. Maybe Torp in for Onyeka. I cannot see players who have played in the majority of games accepting being dropped on the day we lift the trophy. It would be wrong. Bringing certain players off the bench to acknowledge their role and services is a different matter.

As you say, the whole team was poor that day so not really a fair test of a KKH / MVE partnership.

it takes a bit of time too to get the understanding that Tats and MVE have. Bottom line is the Esse /MVE interplay isn’t really there and hoping we’re not looking to buy Esse so I’d personally rather try KKH in that role than BTA but suspect Lamps will play Esse.

If i was rich id bet you we wont. But as im not, I will just disagree. We wont get more than 1 point from the next 2, jobs done, no one gives a shit and that will be reflected
On one of the run-in threads I ‘predicted’ that we could lose to Wrexham if promotion was wrapped up early. Their away form has been pretty bad of late so we should still be expecting a win.

The bottom line is for Lampard and the team is the professional standards they set. Yes, we’ve won the league but we’ve still got to compete for 2 more games and tomorrow we lift the trophy, better to lift after we’ve pumped Wrexham than a loss.

As for Watford, they’re on the beach and in terrible form. Put them to the sword…

The performance of the season was the home match v Middlesbrough.

Yeah, watching MVE throwing up on the pitch (twice ?), really brought that home.
