It's now looking increasingly unlikely we'll get to 100 points but we can get 100 goals, so full-strength teams for the remaining two fixtures please Frank. Half a dozen against Wrexham will make up for the away result, which came just days after I'd placed a small wager on us going the rest of the season unbeaten 😃
I would say that unless they add a few extra games on at the end of the season it's not just unlikely we'll get to 100 points.

I actually agree with shmmeee on Onyeka, not necessarily because of his performances but more because the probable nature of the game might suit Torp's extra bit of craft. There is also the merit argument on the part of the latter given his two assists in two games.

I feel quite prickly about this game. Don't like Wrexham after that away game this season and that FA Cup loss a few years back. Will leave a bad taste if they come here and win, and we're not at the races.

That includes our blip
Conveniently clips out the 15 game start to the season where our record was 10-4-1.

Southampton’s current form is the best stretch to date, to be fair. However, we’ve been coasting to winning the league so we could draw where Southampton needed to win.

I genuinely believe we’d have beaten Sheff Wednesday and Blackburn if the promotion run-in was closer.

Onyeka took a couple of very painful knocks, he's also looked pretty fatigued to me. It's very difficult to tell if that is enough for Torp to start but Torp does bring aspects to his game that Onyeka doesn't have.

Anyone know where to find today's press conference can't seem to find it anywhere and it's normally out by now.
Thanks in advance

This match is cursed for me!

I mentioned before it was moved to the same day as London Marathon and after initially prioritising the marathon, I’ve now managed to defer it as most people I spoke to questioned why I’d miss a once in a lifetime event with Coventry after having an ST for ~25 years! So I sorted that.

Next issue; I was due home from holiday today but my partner is ill and we’ve had to extend for an extra night, change flights etc while she (hopefully!) recovers in time….

i would be surprised if there isn't already a keep list, and a sell list.
i expect everyone else to play in the next 2 games. and they will know what is at stake.

I've just seen somebody on the Wrexham forum say that Southampton are better than us. I mean come on that is objectively untrue.
Standard nonsense that I think comes from the over-analysis of football in general. We've been consistently the best side in the league all season - can't really debate that but people get bored quickly these days.

It started with well Ipswich are actually better and will catch them, then the next hot take was Hellberg's Boro are the best team since Pep's Barca, when that died it shifted to Saints. A side who on another day we'd have had 6 points off comfortably this season. People get bored quick and are desperate for a new hot take.

Also not to be that guy but if Lampard was actually some Swedish bloke called Ikea Herring then we'd have everyone on football twitter queuing up to suck him off.

Would that queue be called a Herring bone pattern?

Though I want us to play a strong as team as possible, partly because I want as many points and goals as possible, partly because I want to deny Wrexham a chance of the play-offs, there are caveats to that.

Firstly, anyone who is slightly injured or carrying a knock - don't risk them. If Rudoni needs treatment on that shoulder get it booked in now rather than wait two weeks for a couple of dead rubbers and then every other player will be looking to get treatment done.

Secondly, I would start the likes of Bidwell and Allen, as I assume they will be leaving, and replace them after 50-odd minutes. I know some will say get the game won and bring them on then, but it is a far better and meaningful ovation if they get subbed off after starting. I also want Allen to play the next two as that should bring him to 200 appearances.

With Wilson, he might be staying he might be going, but start Rushworth and bring him off near the final whistle so he can get his round of applause and we can show our appreciation for a player who is probably PotS. After all, at this moment he's the one more likely to not be here next season than Wilson.

I guess we could also try some stuff out looking to next season and who might or might not be required. I'd like to see KKH play on the right WITH MvE and let the two of them alternate between wing and fullback.

To be fair, Southampton beat them twice so they would say that. If Southampton fail to beat Ipswich, they’ve bottled because the only Top 6 team they would’ve beaten this side of New Year would be us and Wrexham. Had they got better results v Boro, Millwall and Hull (even draws for Boro/Hull) they’d be odds on for automatic promotion now.

The shittest take of the year was the Birmingham idiot saying ‘honestly, you’re the worst team we’ve had up here’ after they beat us and pretty sure he said something about them finishing above us LOL.
