Come on, we need to win this. Hopefully Baka and Jordy can carry on their form along with Bright. We really aren't missing Chaplin at all, are we?

With the current position of Coventry in the league this seems a bit superfluous but its been going all season. So...

I'll be there so expect a poor performance. My record this season is appalling.

If Thomas isn't available I wouldn't mind seeing Wakefield get his first start here, we should have plenty of the ball and with everyone around him high on confidence it would be a good time to get him in.

Get ourselves a couple up, Shipley on after 60, Meyler for Bright after 80, jobs a gooden.

I think Shipley will play if Thomas isn't fit. TBF to Shipley he's been OK of late, he's definitely improved his fitness as well.

Yeah can see Shipley coming in and us playing like we did the other week when Thomas was on the bench.

Think thomas will make it. If not would like to see wakefield as need goals and the win. Shipley can come on to sure up a win but i wouldnt start him

I'd like to see the win % with him in the team. I'm not saying we play well because go him but our good form seems to coincide with him.

Gotta back up the 3 points up at Posh with another if to make a real statement.

Shipley comes in allday for me if Thomas isnt fit. Woukd never risk starting an unknown rookie like Wakefield. Go with tried and tested.
Impressed with him last few games when hes been called upon. His fitness is much improved. The vital goal at Luton has given him confidence.

Shipley had a very good game against them at their place. Scored deflected goal and then won a penalty.

Gotta feeling Thomas wil be just fine though.

Away from home I'd be starting Shipley, just feel at home it will be our job to go and break them down, would prefer to see the pace and trickery that has been spoken about from Wakefield from the start. Shipley can be used from the bench if we need to defend lead or batter in a scrappy winner, don't think he has the quality to create when space will be a premium.

Hopefully Thomas will be fine thought obviously.

One thing I noticed about Wakefield is that he wins headers as well.

Hard to judge in the couple of cameos though.

I think Thomas will be fit only got a bit of a black eye apparently no concussion. So if he is fit I suspect an unchanged team and a victory.

Our form is good but 3 wins on the bounce doesn’t happen often for us. They have some form, only 1 defeat in last 5, fighting the drop. Head says draw or either team to win by 1. Heart says 4-1, Hiwula with a brace.

If possible start with the same team and formation. If we score early I can see us given them a thumping. Someone is going to get soon hopefully it will be this Saturday.

Can't help but think it would have been good having Allassani about for times when Thomas is missing. Not really been given a chance to show what he's capable of.

City 4-0. Thomas to get all 4 while wearing a protective face mask with some custom blinkers fitted to improve his composure.

Based on one of the posts a above it sounds as though Thomas will be fine, which is great news. Despite losing a bit of form lately his importance shouldn’t be underestimated.

If not, I’d be tempted by Wakefield as he’s the more like for like, but I’d go with Shipley. He’s been good recently and while he is by no means a winger, he can still be influential offensively. We know nothing about Wakefield and if he isn’t up to it/off form/unfit then we can’t afford to carry someone in such a big game.

I’m really looking forward to Saturday. The players should be on a confidence high and really focussed on making the playoffs, so I’m going for 3-0, Hiwula, Bakayoko and Bayliss.

Well a certain win right?
Oxford picking up some good form lately so don't count your chickens. We must go out with great intent or we will fall to a sucker punch and we don't want that.

Should, and I emphasise should - be a win by a clear margin. The players know the possibilities they have made for themselves and would be criminal to throw that away with games running out.

Shippers link up play with the the others in the front 4 has been pretty decent recently. Has looked good when he comes inside off the flank and allows that fluidity of movement for Bright, Bayliss etc to shift wider when we're around the box. Also his positional sense and fitness seems to be improving as noted by others. Would like him to start if Thomas not fit

No midfield. A couple of defenders just in case and Burge to keep hoofing to 8 frontmen. 6-0 and in the playoff spots
