Spelling up to your usual standards, I see, CC4L.

It should be a 'u', not an 'o'.

Enjoyable experience to have so many fans back (or at least altogether at once). The game itself wasn’t blessed with chances but it was competitive and we did ourselves proud. I’d be quite happy to bow out at the replay now, depending on the draw.

Their hatred of the owners has overlapped into hatred of the football club.

Just caught up on MOTD from last night - didn’t expect us to be one of the first games on considering the score, but they cut our coverage off half way through!

More than matched a mid-table Championship side, decent performance but if that O’Hare chance goes in the place would have been bouncing.

There are some that wanted the club to go bust and start again with sisu, doing well lowers the chances of that. Good days, good wins and good atmospheres happening while their little sect are boycotting must annoy them, they know they’re missing out.

Start of the game we took a little while getting used to their better pressing etc than we're used to but on the whole managed it well but got caught a couple of times. Some of Marosi's kicking wasn't great and was very close to being blocked, but it wasn't so it's fine.

Set pieces, crossing were poor and often catching practice for their keeper.

Grew into the game, largely due to Kelly and Walsh esp controlling midfield. Shipley and Westbrooke far less so and left Godden with little to work with and had me calling for Biamou to come on. Biamou and O'Hare coming on really swung the game in our favour and we controlled the game after that as we could keep the ball up top much better.

Baka made the right choice heading back across goal and the less said about O'Hare's miss the better. Worst miss I've ever seen which must have been gutting for the Villa supporting Villa player.

A neutral watching that game wouldn't have thought we weren't in the same division as them.

Surprised at some of the negative, pessimistic and down playing posts.

We were the better team yesterday and should have won it at the end.

It might have been an FA Cup game and maybe they weren’t playing their strongest side (I have no idea either way) but whatever side they put out, it’s still Championship players v L1 players. And as a few were so keen to point out the massive gulf in class between L1 and Champ before the game, surely whatever side they put out, it’d still be miles ahead of ours?

They didn’t cause us any issues at all yesterday. We started slow and looked nervous, but grew into the game and dominated the second half - we looked the higher level team.

The big difference for me was their tempo; they were a yard quicker than we’re used to in L1, both defensively (e.g. closing us down) and offensively. Once we got to grips with that though we coped with it well.

Not sure if there’s people still questioning Walsh, but it so then they should probably give up on football now.

McFadz has his faults, but he put an absolute leaders performance in yesterday in every sense.

Really disappointed to get a reply, and not sure we’ll be as up for it with such a congested few weeks. But play like we did yesterday and we’ve clearly got a chance.

We did ourselves proud yesterday and in my view, we still had a few gears left to find. Really positive.

Yes we grew into this game after Brums intial early pacey push. They were sharper than us for 20 minutes. Once we found our feet and our game we got better and better. Shippers and Westbrooke as had said before the game were the weak link on the day. Shippers was unable to get forward in support of Godden and his ability to tackle and win a midfield battle and keep the ball along with Westbrooke was sadly lacking. O'Hare and Allen better suited to this level.
But we were the better side and all the the argument about the gulf in class between top end league 1 and lower Championship was not at all evident. We had some better players than them.
We also deserved to win.

I went for a piss about 15 mins into the second half and couldn’t believe there must have been 100 odd city (in city shirts etc) still standing drinking in the bar.

What is the point in going to a match to stand drinking when the match is on...not only on but 15 minutes into the second half! I don’t understand that mentality. It smacks I’m not really that interested in the match?

We were the better side on the day but what I did notice was they were physically bigger and stronger as a side but we moved the ball better and had better ‘footballers’. That was as strong a team they could put out but we should have won the game and the brummies have said that.

Have we missed a chance yesterday.... I think we have as I think they will be more wary of us next time around but sod it.... the league is more important.

Brum also know staying in the championship is vital to their financial situation so they may just play a weakened side in the replay.

I started to queue for a drink at 38mins into the first half. I didn’t get served till 5 minutes into the second half. Absolute joke trying to get a drink there. I certainly weren’t gonna neck it down in one

So why bother having a drink 5 minutes into the second half? Just interested in why you would still wait for a pint so long then miss 20% of the game?

I take it you’ve never been on the piss then? Cause if you are you’d know that if you’ve been on it all day you’re gagging for a drink by half time...

Are you really?

How long have you supported City for? We could beat Barcelona to win the European cup and some would find something to moan about.

And also miss the reason why you attended the match... or is the reason for attending having a drink?

All confusing and strange to me I’m afraid.

So you are happy to stand in a queue and walk away as you get to the front of it?

And the amount of people I bump into at games I haven't seen for 20 years or more is unreal.

It isn't always just standing there because it is what you do. Yes some would have been on a jolly. But not all.

If I’m going to miss the match I would walk away. If your stupid enough to stand in a queue and miss the event you went to attend then more fool you.

would you do the same at a concert after paying £100 a ticket? Course not.

Just hold on for another 45 minutes a get a nice pint in a pub afterwards. I took one look at the queue and thought fuck that, knew 100% I wouldn't be getting served until the second half.
