They've won 4 consecutive home games against us, those days are long gone

I've got a feeling about this one. I think we'll score and hold it at 1-0 until around the 80th minute. Then they'll score and then sneak a 2nd just before final whistle. 2-1 to Barnsley. I really hope I'm proved wrong. :emoji_frowning2:

Is there a way of watching this that doesn't involve leaving work early and driving to Cov?

Just thought I'd mention that Saturday's referee is Trevor Kettle. So - anything could happen!

I am presuming Sterling was taken off in the checkatrade as he may be needed for Saturday, but hopefully JG will have recovered.

Allasani will be great to come off the bench on 60, after Jordan Shipley has kicked their right side to tatters.

I am presuming Kelly is another week away at least, so midfield of Doyle, Bayliss, Shipley and Luke Thomas.

JCH and Chaplin up front.

5-0 City.

Creep into the top ten and have a positive goal difference.

Impose ourselves on them. Start on the front foot. We seem to have had a few dodgy first halves, where we have adopted a pragmatic approach and waited to see what the opponents are about (to be fair, that is usually away games). Would also like to see us being able to adapt to our opponents tactics, if we are having problems. It's always baffled me that if we are having an issue that we can't manage to react in play, and have to wait until half time to get a message across. By that logic, if anything crops up in the second half, we'd be unable to do anything about it. Anyway, here's hoping for a positive result.

Barnsley are unbeaten but I think we will sneak a 1-0 win, with CC scoring the goal.

Looking forward to this, I know it was a bit ugly against Oxford but a win is a win and hopefully will give the whole team confidence.

Barnsley had sold 1,500 by Monday so it’ll be around 11,000

I've a bad feeling about this one. I think we'll struggle to keep the ball in midfield with their pressing style and end up going long too often.

I think Robins will be hoping they come at us so we can exploit them and the space. I hope he has seen something we haven't so far that we can do it.

They also haven’t beaten us when we’ve been at home since 1923.

That will probably end this weekend, however.

Can you be a bit more precise, Houch? Which way are we kicking when we score, and will it be a screamer, or off somebody's arse?

Think MR will go for an unchanged team from Oxford if possible. If Mason is fit I'd bring him in and move Chaplin into a front two with JCH. Drop one of Hiwula or Bakayoko from the bench for Allassani.

It's another where all will depend on how we approach it. We look to press and we've got a decent chance, let them dominate the tempo and we don't.

Would take a draw to be honest given how poor we've been at converting chances along with the odd lapse of concentration. Fact we're top half and are nowhere near playing well yet is encouraging, although this will be a sterner test as we've not played the strongest teams yet.
