Still concerned we are relying on so many last minute goals. Can't do that for a whole season (can we?!!!). One thing I don't understand with the way we play is why we are so insistent on getting early crosses into the box. We play with one up front, and yes Godden is very good in the air but %wise the chances of him beating 2 cbs to the ball regularly enough to make that an effective tactic must be tiny. Really feel like we are shoehorning Jobello into this side at the moment.

Just got to cut out the defensive howlers.

We don't get cut open very often, in fact a good chunk of the goals we've conceded this season have been to shocking defensive mistakes

Get the fuck in there hahaha amazing. We make errors yes and sometimes players play poor, but the style of play and recruitment has been immense so far. We look streets ahead of where we were last year

Wow! A deserved 3 points!!!
Have to say O'Hare is absolutely class, reminds me of Madrison when he was in league 1 for us in the way he turns with the ball! So so good!

I cannot believe we even bother putting crosses into the box. All our goals come from clever balls behind the back four. We never seem to win anything in the air in the box.

And agree on Jobello. He's not effective so far. But I'm gagging to see this side with Hiwalla on one side and 'I'm in love with a' Jodi Jones 'World' on t'other.

Can drop to 3rd but Wycombe will need to beat Portsmouth by at least 2 goals

I would move O'Hare there for now and bring Westbrooke back in, and then Kelly back in when fit and push Walsh to the right of the 3 in place of Westbrooke. Assume Allen will not be properly match fit before Christmas and then he can take over from Walsh who can decide if he wants to stay for another 6 months and get automatic promotion on his CV, from the the bench. Jones to be used sparingly as a substitute for O'Hare from January onwards!

Fannying around could have cost us two points. I get it it bypasses a few of their players but were still 70 yards from goal. Why take chances.

Still let's not not pick tonight we didnt play great but were top and let's enjoy it.

Over the moon with this result, we would have fucked that up last year and probably lost the game.a lot to still work on at the back however but so happy with that result

Yet when we had Biamou on we didn't throw the ball in at all despite having bodies in there.
We are uneven, the left side is a much bigger threat than the right. For all the (unfair) criticism Hiwula gets he gets into good positions in behind and gets goals. Jobello hugs the touchline just inside the opposition half and his crossing is aimless and poorly executed.

Another game where we did better than last season.
Oxford the only game so far where we haven't equalled or bettered our result from the corresponding fixture last season. Obviously no corresponding fixture with Bolton.

I think Robins needs to use O'Hare cleverly. Against teams we are under pressure against he can be used in midfield to drag us up the pitch but against teams that sit back he can be a tricky inside forward that can beat a defender parked on the edge of the box.

See I thought Walsh started shaky but grew into the game. Free kick was poor prior to his goal but other than that I thought he played really well

Just wondering, how many points/goals for/against did we have after 9 games the season under Mowbray with Armstrong et al? Just to compare a bit.
