Just a note on the 2 goals we gave away.
Kitching was caught twice sleeping, and his effort to defend the first one, very poor. he poses no threat up for set pieces (unlike Thomas, who again got the assist for Simms) Time for Wolfy me thinks.
Had the same thought 2nd half, and expected Wolf on as a sub at some point.

The difference Lampard and his coaching team has made is the ridiculous fitness levels we have.

We always looked struggling to hold leads. Now we look we have far more players on the pitch.

Sakamoto has insane levels. Grimes everything happen in the middle round him.

It’s also clear now teams fear us. As soon as we scored they just dropped. The first 20
Minutes in the second half were insane.

Sloppy starts to games and vulnerable on the counter but our 2nd half performances have been so good. Sending off helped lets be honest.

No doubt when we are ‘on it’ we’re the best team in the league by a mile.

Leicester and Stoke fans salty with jealously on their forum citing ‘empty seats’ 🙄

I mean, Stokes ground always full to the brim isn’t it •rolls eyes• deluded twats
They're not quite as quick are they compared to the earlier games, missing that ATM.

Great start to the day!

One of my worst Ricoh memories is west brom beating us 5-0 and watching their fans celebrating and wondering if cov would ever get to be the team that others fear

And it's happened. Even at 2 down I hadn't given up and clearly the players didn't either

Loved lampard getting heated with officials too.

Atmosphere was weird as went crazy but then died down soon as 3rd went in as it felt like everyone felt game was won and I guess it kinda was

Sakanoto MOTM. I just love him so much!

Though JDS was brilliant too after the mistake for first goal.

Really happy for Simms he got his goal. He played well. Yes he still needs to hold it up better or lay it off better but he worked hard and got his goal. Missed a sitter mind

Rushworth kicking was suspect again and we need to doxbetter on the goals conceded but it's a massive win and now we can watch rest of results unfold and either way it will work for us in one way or another

It really does feel like our year

I thought we played some great football today and apart from the two communication errors in defense, absolutely controlled the game....certainly not 'clawing our way back' as described by the two useless commentators on 'now'

I agree, by the finest of margins I would have given it to Tats
He looks so dangerous every time he gets the ball. He’s different under Lampard I think, lamps is telling him to get more crosses in early especially on his left foot
Love the bloke

I really can’t be bothered to get into arguments but we need a better left sided defender - whatever MVEs limitations are he always can recover position with pace. Dasilva can’t. He was exposed badly all of the first half. We can’t concede two like we did and win games all the time.

The left side of the team is far worse than the right. If we could find a player in January who is better than Dasilva and use him like we do Allen we’d be in a far better position.

There was one moment in the first half I was slightly frustrated where Torp came, showed himself for the ball, but he ignored him, carried on further and it was a nothing Ball inside, just frustrated though nothing else.

The best thing about us is that we’re so clinical - West Brom made one mistake today. Molumby cost them the game.

he got sent off and we punished it. That’s what champions do
I disagree it was Molumby who cost them the game. It was their manager for not dragging him at HT. Pretty much everyone could see it. Numerous people called it.

But an international player should manage that. I’d be fuming with him if I was Mason. It’s more on molumby then Mason

it was a stupid foul

think that player used to be bidwell but he’s clearly declined and not at the level anymore

the right hand side of sakamoto and MVE is just a joy to watch

I don't know if lampard wants da Silva to play exact same way as mve though. But he's definitely getting better as an attacking threat imo

Defensivly he got back well today and won the ball back masterfully at times

We clearly don't need better at left back in terms of winning the league

Its always been high risk high reward with frank. If we lose posession we are screwed. But we dont more often than not. But when we do, we score more goals than the oppo anyway

I was thinking about that game this morning as well. I think it was a cup game, in front of what was then a record Ricoh attendance.

Such a depressing time to support the club. Felt like we would never be competitive

Yeah it's not hyperbole to say it really was a worry that we might never be a good team again considering financial and stadium situation
