There is a work around, let the medical staff onto the pitch and the game continue.
I have always said this however I don't think they would do it for head injuries.

As of yesterday there are tickets still available in the west brom end,

West Brom posted an announcement via the club website on Monday advertising that tickets are still for sale.

It is not known how many of the 2,815 tickets are still available, but the fact any are going at all says it all.

Not sure I agree but let’s suppose you’re right. I’d rather watch an ad break than incessant timewasting.

What about if the physios wore adverts for McDonalds while they treated players? Best of both worlds.

I’m just wary of anything that makes the sport less live and more TV TBH. I hate the waiting for Sky so we can kick off already.

Wouldn't work. Norwich would just kick the ball to the injury area to ensure the game is stopped.

Dunno, I just think this is a slippery slope fallacy. American football with the endless pauses and changing of teams is built for endless ad breaks. Similarly cricket at the end of an over which is comparably ‘popular’ to rugby.

The clock stopping when the ball goes out for a goal kick isn’t quite the same. Being cynical they could try to sneak ad breaks into football during certain stoppages anyway.

They dont need pauses in game play anymore for adverts. I watch a fair few South African and Asian streams and they simply minimise the live footage to a portion of the screen and have adverts in the remaining space. Won't be long before we get that.

Sky are already doing it in Australia:

I get that, but you really can't tell the legitimacy of an injury from all the way up in the stands
You can on replays at home though. Especially when a striker gets dispossessed and is embarrassed about it so falls over clutching his bonce whilst the opposition counter. In fact refs have even started blowing up for non head injuries in those circumstances. Play dead until the whistle goes then instantly get up and complain about it not being given as a foul. Does my head in .

Couple of years ago when we played them there was hundreds of empty seats which their fans blamed on 'no point travelling when its on TV' so not really sure they can now proclaim a successful boycott if they don't sell out.

Now the international matches are basically done, we can start getting excited about Saturday. I hope we don’t lose and it all falls apart. This possibility keeps lingering. I think we’re good enough to bounce back even if we do balls up again. I think we should beat Baggies.
