When it’s your season you just go with it, that red card changed the game, but still think we’d of got a draw at least, talking to a in the now after the game and at lest 2 incoming january, we‘ll only get stronger

Yeah tbh I thought it was gonna be one of those days we weren’t gonna click. Think I commented moments before the goal that it’s not happening today. Good time to net one back, maybe it was a simple word in a couple of ears at HT was needed. We were rightly relentless after the sending off.

Thought we eased off after the 3rd but always had it in us to turn it back up a notch

Good to hear the positions looking at.

obviously got this Swedish winger also, if any truth.

I don't know if he was the target i was told about first, only that we'd been on it pretty much straight after the close of the previous window. So it's obviously someone who we have been looking at for a while.

Not sure who the Championship winger could be that we may have enquired about, we were discussing it today and if it's just someone to see us through to the end of this season rather than somebody who is premier league ready then there are a couple of possibilities.

Same goes for the midfielder really, it all depends whether it's just a case of going for it in January to see us over the line, or if they have one eye on the possibilities of promotion, that will decide what profile of player we are after.

not only was Saka skinning folk all game I liked when he got stuck into Grant and gave him a nice push in the chest when Grant tried kicking off.

Thats what makes it a really tricky window - buy with eye to PL or just short term!

100% at least 2 lined up January, the squad will be even stronger, start to believe, but that atmosphere needs upping, not quite sure what it’ll take, top of the league and very quiet at times, needs a rethink, 2 nd half was class

If short term let get Liam Kelly in on 6 month loan so he can take us to the premier league after all!

Personally I’d move the away fans to the opposite corner, we’d have both ends, 2 nd half was more like it

Championship winger is interesting. It’s not going to be someone else’s cast off, Sean Maguire type signing.

I really can’t be bothered to get into arguments but we need a better left sided defender - whatever MVEs limitations are he always can recover position with pace. Dasilva can’t. He was exposed badly all of the first half. We can’t concede two like we did and win games all the time.

The left side of the team is far worse than the right. If we could find a player in January who is better than Dasilva and use him like we do Allen we’d be in a far better position.

I’d love to trial KKH there now as others have suggested within the last day. I feel for him as he’s a class player and come in and not yet been able to get a look in, maybe this gives him an opportunity to get more minutes.

It was a response to Grendel’s comment about strengthening the LB position.
I don’t personally think we need to go and buy another player, I think KKH does a job there.
Lots of people in another thread think JDS was tired today and could have been rested but we don’t feel that Bidwell or Brau can step up… KKH is that guy

Definitely an option I guess.

Still think bidwell can do a job every so often if needed personally

We’ve always struggled at LB the fact they switched they‘re Left winger to the right knew where we’re weak, da silva’s great going forward but is always going to get caught out, strange game, said at half time never been more confident we’d still win, sign of a good side, just keep grinding out results, win on tuesday and really start believing

I'd be very worried if Bidwell ever starts a game again. Makes life so easy for his opponent. Just backs off and invites pressure. KKH over Bidwell every single day of the week.

Mehmeti from Bristol would be my guess. Rumours he turned down a new deal at the end of the summer window and his contract is up at the end of the year.

Yeah somebody mentioned him a couple of weeks ago as a possible target. Is he classed as a winger though? I've no objection to proven Championship players to see us over the line. I suppose it's all down to whether they want people who can make the step up, or just to bolster the squad till May, and how much DK is willing to spend to make it happen.

Heard today wev‘e got at least 2 lined up for January, tricky One as we’ve got one eye on players who’ll be good enough if/when we go up,

It might be difficult to achieve but I'd like us to get a PL quality player or players in on loan with an option or obligation to buy if we get promoted.

Disagree that we’re weak there - some can’t get over Dasilva’s poor start when he first came to us but he’s been consistently excellent down that left hand side for months now.

Few better LBs in the division this season

We’ve got to go all out in the Jan transfer market to secure promotion. We’re tracking v well to more or less secure a playoff berth by Xmas (not mathematically).

2-4 solid additions will see us through. We all know the squad is a little thin and we can’t afford to risk an injury crisis derailing an automatic promotion push.

We won’t get a better chance than this and Doug knows it, spending a few million in January is nothing compared to what we’ll get for going up, bamford deal was turned down because we’ve got better lined up

DK will have the same feelings as all of us, he'll know we are in a good position now to remain in the top two, and we all know that's the way we want to go up deep down. To achieve that we simply have to add. I believe he will back it.

Yeah we were saying this earlier, if he's pulled the plug on a deal, it's got to be because they have more lined up.

For them to be worth signing they will either be a good player for a lesser team, who will cost a premium in January. Or one of the fringe players at one of the parachute teams that’s not really getting a look in but would they want to strengthen a promotion rival. Mehmeti is a good shout though, covers a couple of positions of need for us too.

Just a note on the 2 goals we gave away.
Kitching was caught twice sleeping, and his effort to defend the first one, very poor. he poses no threat up for set pieces (unlike Thomas, who again got the assist for Simms) Time for Wolfy me thinks.
