What was the WLADITT live trumpet intro all about? Weird.

They need to stop pissing about with the pre game every match. It’s supposed to be a ritual and no one has a clue what’s going on and they keep playing music over the fans.

Oh yeah we’ve scored some ridiculously low xG chances (basically all Torp’s goals).

Despite this, the xG we’ve created surpasses all teams by a significant margin, after us (34 xG), Southampton are on 29 xG. We’ve been an attacking juggernaut this season!
Ahem

In a nutshell…… 3 points but please get Eccles out of this team. Not up to it unfortunately 😞.
And certainly not in the same team as Torp. One is no 29 the other 28. They are the same height and similar build. I am sure I could be thinking torp is having a mare when it could be Eccles. I tend to assume torp is doing the good stuff and Eccles making the mistakes but who knows?

Its always been high risk high reward with frank. If we lose posession we are screwed. But we dont more often than not. But when we do, we score more goals than the oppo anyway
Kitchen should never have played that ball to Dasilva. He had a man on him and nowhere to go. If he didn’t beat the man it was obvious we were going to be in trouble.
When we lost the ball Kitchen should have gone straight for the player and gave everyone a chance to recover.

Great resilience shown today, we could have folded after going 2-0 down but we stuck to our game and fought till we regained control.

I thought at times we could move it about quicker, sometimes the crosses are a little slow to come in, but you can't really complain too much when Tats sticks a cross like that in for Eccles.
I wish EMC would come in and shoot a bit more like that great attempt the keeper saved. He's clearly very capable and it would have been a great goal.

It felt like they were playing almost in anger / frustration before half time, partly because of the ref and also the handbags.
Channeled it well to get one back before half time.

Toss up between Torp and Sakamoto for MOTM for me today, i thought they were both great.
Shout out for Eccles too, although he sometimes looked a little out of position today, though i couldn't tell if he was meant to be playing the 8 or 10 role, his second half was really good. It was smart of him with the Molumby incident, he could have easily stayed on his feet but he was aware he was coming and used his head. Good header for his goal.

I think Simms led the line well, i was unsure as to how he would do with Wright having struggled for service in recent games, but i felt he imposed himself, ran the channels, got the deserved goal and almost another assist, unlucky for Torp, his technique is a beautiful thing.

Another win, great comeback. PUSB
Any January news floating about today? @Jimmy87

I think today was the day I started to believe. I am a naturally very cautious person with my optimism, but I just knew when we made it 1-2 we would at least get a draw and when we equalised early in the second half I knew we would go onto win.

Never in my years of supporting Coventry City have I ever "knew" we were going to do anything. Today was the day, I started to believe this is our year. Plenty of games to go, of course, but the stars are beginning to align!

There were a couple of whispers about looking at a midfielder from abroad, also that we have made enquiries about a championship winger.
A couple of weeks ago i was DM'ing someone on here, i'd heard then that we were looking at an AM, but then i saw a couple of links somewhere that we had been looking at a kid (free agent) AM, so that could've been all that was about.
Nothing concrete, just whispers for now.

My favourite thing about today is that I was sat with three delightful young men who were sharing magic mushrooms. One of them kept yelling about how he was leaving the country tomorrow, this is his final experience in the UK and he's so grateful to get to see a match at the CBS. When Torp scored, he started screaming THIS IS SUCH A POWERFUL MOMENT and I'M SO GRATEFUL TO BE ALIVE

Big difference in mentality for me today. Watching WBA was fucking odd; even when they were 2-0 up they seemed to have no confidence and looked like they didn't quite believe they were winning, after Eccles' goal several of their players started throwing strops at each other then Molumby had the most stupid and pointless second yellow I've ever seen. It was only ever going to end one way as soon as that happened.

So thrilled for Simms getting the equaliser, he's shown great improvement his last few appearances and it's the perfect start to what it looks like will be an extended period of starting appearances for him. Torp was fucking great yet again, MVE and Sakamoto are an unstoppable pair.

What a great afternoon despite shit weather. Love this team!
Tats and MVE link up play with each other is so good to watch!

The funniest thing was WBA fans giving it the big one in their big day out. The same blokes about 20 mins later looked desolate with their eyes glazed over.

Magic mushrooms?

You should've told the steward. Its against the rules to bring your own food in

There's a new fearlessness to Tats that I love. Not just how he openly takes the piss out of leftbacks, but to also see him not shying away from challenges, welcoming physicality to win fouls, sticking up for Grimes when that fucking clown was throwing a fit after being tackled? I love it

It's even worse when Lampard selects Victor Torp and Janik Sinner in the same XI:

Doyle got sent off in the FA Cup game against them the following season. 0-5 loss. The season before the Mifsud red card, Ben Turner got sent off against them in a 0-1 home loss.

Not sure if anyone watches/listens to undr the cosh but there is a good one on Mifsud. Goes into detail about his time here and the falling outs and reason he left etc.

About time they had one then

Although the tide was beginning to turn that red today very quickly surged the game in our favour. I imagine Mason is downplaying it and that Molumby was in massive trouble. I’d be fuming if it was one of ours, Torp still had loads to do before creating danger, wtf is he doing there.

I was at the Hawthorns in 1995 for the FA Cup replay and Ndlovu's wonder goal at the end. Paul Cook was sent off for City after 10 minutes and we went a goal down. Great night!

Yeah I listened to that while I broke down near a farm in North Derbyshire in my truck. The truck broke down, not me 😛

Good pod that is.

When it’s your season you just go with it, that red card changed the game, but still think we’d of got a draw at least, talking to a in the now after the game and at lest 2 incoming january, we‘ll only get stronger
