Thanks for that.

I started supporting the Sky Blues, as a kid, in the early 1960s and I didn’t miss a home game for 12 years until I went away to university.

I reckon I must have seen virtually all of his appearances for us at Highfield Road, possibly every single one.

Seeing him on the right wing and Willie Humphries (Northern Ireland international) on the left was a joy to behold. We haven’t had such good wingers from then until our current team.

Let’s hope it’s an entertaining and sporting game tomorrow. Obviously I want us to win, as you will want your team to.

May the best team win

It’s the eve of the game, seems a decent number will travel, the away trips are huge for Swansea based fans. Last season over a thousand miles in one particular week.

We would be happy with another draw, I guess for you a win is what most want ?

I’ll edit that, and use the word ‘expect’

He was a magnificent example of a player who had he been English would have surely bothered the national side. He was superb even when he saw out his years at the Swans.

Wright Simms Sakamoto

Sheaf Rudoni Eccles

Dasilva Binks/Kitching Thomas MVE

Dovin

Give Bassette plenty of mins, then I'd start him next week at Leeds where he can play a similar role to the Spurs game.

Not sure about Dovin as a loan striker but 3 keepers should help us keep it tight

Thomas needs to start, and keep starting. Play Kitching or Binks alongside.

If Sakamoto not fit then either Latibeaudiere at RB and MVE in front, or BTA on right.

Bassette should be given the last half an hour of foreseeable games, coming on for Simms. Needs to play at the top.

Rudoni in the 8 role, but if we want to rotate/are short then I think BTA should be given a run out at 10.

Wright on the left, but EMC needs to keep picking up minutes one way or another.

Sheaf and Eccles midfield, obviously. Torp if either are not fit.

BTA hasn't got any of the necessary skills to play as a 10

All rounder then, he was predominantly right sided at the Swans. Although his biog and cuttings from way back state he was employed on both flanks. Let’s agree he was bloody good

Swansea have lost both on the road so far this season without scoring in either.

Big crowd, buoyant from Wednesday and Robins insisting on similar performance levels I think we’re finally going to break that hoodoo.

Dovin
MVE
Thomas
Kitching
JDS
BTA
Torp
Eccles
Rudoni
Wright
Simms

Bertie, EMC and Saka to come on for Simms, Wright and BTA respectively in the second half.

2-0 Cov.

Easy to agree on that. He was also at West Brom and Forest in between our clubs

Right ladies and gents. Get yourselves up for this. The boys need our backing today. I want those sheep bothering visitors drowned out today by a wave of positivity. Lager, JDs and singing for me - the noisy (annoying) one in Block 15.

Just been for a run and, quite sadly, was thinking about City as I was running.

I definitely think the more aggressive pressing of Bassette and Asante helped the midfield

People say Simms doesn't press, I disagree, but it doesn't have the same intensity.

So to summarise my waffle, I agree!

Simms and Bassette are very different players and suit different games, Simms is good against big bruising teams who try and rough us up, Bassette is good against footballing sides as he leads the press and is really quick so can hit the counter nicely

How do Swansea play? I thought their manager was quite gung-ho at Notts County but their results so far this season have been fairly tight.
