6 league games in and we’re getting worse. Completely outplayed the last 2 league games at home and loosing with a wimper and this is before we play the supposed favourites. I love Robins and want nothing more than him to take us to the premier league but today felt like significant

It really is classic football fandom.

Yes its a very poor start.... but history says we'll turn something around, and even if we have a "bad season" we'd likely finish no lower than mid-table.

I can't believe people think returning to a cycle of booting managers out after a bad run of results will do anything positive for the club.

Personally an entire crap season wouldn't make me want us to part company with Robins.

People can say "yes but we've spent £30m" but that doesn't guarantee anything.... otherwise they'd just print the final league table at the start of the season based on transfers....

And if money spent did matter so much, then perhaps we are being over-expectant.... isn't our wage bill still mid-table at best? (i might be wrong)

The football being served up is the same, just we haven’t got world class players to bail us out.

It wasn't midfield that cost us today.

People are desperate to ignore that robins doesn't know how to change games.

He said the other day that games were tactical and like games of chess. He just keeps trying the same move.

I didn’t say it cost us today, but presumably if we are talking about sacking manager that is over a record of a number of games and a presumption that another manager would do better? I don’t think Robins has been great this season, but I don’t think changing him will bring us into the top 6. The problem at the start of this season is we don’t have the quality in the middle to challenge for promotion.

They've been asking people to buy premier league packages, support the club. This has happened but we're not seeing results on the pitch. We've spent plenty the last couple of years and have good players (although a midfielder or two short). There's no real excuse.

Leeds away is a big ask for 3 points for any team in this league , theyve lost 3 in 26 at home in the last 14 months

Robins rightly insinuating some players weren't playing for their shirt. Wright going off at halftime would suggest he will be dropped for the next one. I know he is a quiet character but he doesn't look like he enjoys playing for us. I expect he may leave in January. Just hope we don't lose too much money on him.

There will be teams with as many if not more clean sheets this season as we’ve had all year.

20 or so years ago, the issue was that a manager would control it all but when he lost it he was sacked.

it meant a new manager comes in, changed the entire backroom staff and the playing staff.

modern football has gone the more cost effective route. The manager is now a head coach and the players will all share similar attributes. I’m assuming we’ll go the Brighton route of finding someone abroad who is an elite coach.

think UEFA Pro coaching. I read somewhere England has just over 1000 coaches qualified at this level. Spain and Germany have over 17,000.

Yep, it's a big ask. It's an ask we've given to ourselves by playing so poorly though.

We’ll get twatted playing like this. I just want to see the other team have to at least earn the result.

Defeats matter less than the performances going into them.

The thing is these teams are recruiting young managers with fresh ideas and tactics..with Robins we are being left behind with same old tired tactics.. he can't change a game..his substitutes are always like for like...what was the point if bringing dasilva on in injury time...what are all these other coaches contributing??..

To be fair it’s a bit uncharted since every time we had a bad start, Robins had Adi who seemed to bring new ideas to us.

Remember last year Adi was the one making us train in the international break to get the 4-2-3-1 working.

And to be fair don’t think anyone wants a new manager every six months but no manager can have unlimited support in the bank. Keep waiting to see the system and progress but if anything I’m still as lost as I was at Stoke to see the game plan.

Least if it was a new manager you’d understand the time it would take for it to get going, I’m at a loss to be honest.

Trying not to be dramatic, but we look a poor side devoid of ideas and with no identity. Another defeat next week (should it happen) and serious questions will be asked. Has he taken us as far as he can? It's all a bit stale. I would stick at the moment, but it's worrying for sure. Players need to take responsibility, but are we really choosing to sit at home and play on the back foot? This seems tactical, we make no attempt to play high and are so passive. I just don't know what we are trying to do.

BTA simply is not cut out for playing wide right either, he’s a down the middle centre forward.

MVE was hopelessly exposed so often.

Problem is we've got 3 players who are all better down the middle and they all cost reasonable amounts of money.

Yeah. I just can’t shake that feeling that’s he’s very close to having enough. Wouldn’t sack him at all, my eyes are on him more than Robins.

So then we need to play a system to suit that imo. Surely we can get two strikers on the pitch together.

Might mean some roles would be limited to the bench but least we’d be able to make worth while changes.

I’m not Robins out but you simply cannot defend this start to the season. We’ve been completely out-thought tactically in the 4/6 of the league games so far and the management team have done very little to respond to it in game.

I honestly thought we were going to hit the ground running this season..

I am completely baffled as to why we are struggling once again.

Didn't see today's game and it sounds like we were utter dross.

On Wednesday though, I thought we were fabulous and was so proud of the team.

It's completely baffling and very frustrating.
