As all have said, hard to pick without any info on the bug but my 'best case' if Saka, Torp, Thomas, Kitch, MvE still down with the flu, and BTA still out, will be:

Rushie
Lati Wolf Bidders
KKH Grimes Eccles Brau
Rudi Simms EMC

Wilson, Allen, Wright plus the kids on the bench.

Hopefully most will be off their sick bed for Ipswich.

I hope Brau gets his chance at left back , after a great cameo yesterday.
Milan didn’t look good , but KKH needs to step up in his possible absence.
Yesterday’s performance by Ephron , might have been his best since joining us , so could this be the time to see him really rip the full back’s to pieces ?
Another great home win coming up , with the skyblue army in full voice .

Hope Milan and Torp got told private cars were picking them up to go home. Them on the team bus wouldn't of been a good idea

Feel like we’ll win whatever team we put out at the moment, especially at home. Lampard said about changing the mentality to become a team that expects to win every game and it’s showing.

Torp and mve both had it for a while. Another week they will be ok. However unless kkh had it, it’s a bit of a slap not playing ahead of mve

The only thing with Brau is he didnt play left back yesterday in a 4 he was in a 5 (didnt have the usual freedom of a wingback though due to the situation). If we start with a 4 next week I would think Bidwell will start.

didnt we get fucked about with Middlesborough who cried off their game with a flu epidemic a few years ago

Noticed Frank said in his interview we lost a couple of guys in the last few days so we had to changethe lineup - it takes more than a couple of days to get over this bastard - MVE had it a couple of weeks ago

More likely Feank didn’t want to make 3 changes at the back with Bobby and Kitch out. It didn’t end well at Wrexham:

Middlesborough got docked points for not fulfilling their fixture v Blackburn and as a consequence they got relegated and we stayed up on the last day.

I watched the match on Sky yesterday. I failed to see this great cameo from Brau some are talking about. I must have blinked or something as all I saw was him trying to keep the ball too long, running into trouble and eventually losing it.

For me we were told before the game he was useless, he came on, worked hard, won a lot in the air, did well with Fellows and showed some neat touches and decent dribbling.

It was positive.

Spot on. He never fully looked in control. A series of in the moment improvisations, some of which worked most of which didn’t.

I doubt he’s good at chess.

Tbh the reaction from fans in the stand felt like they were cheering on a youth prospect or even a fan who’d won a chance to play. But I think with coaching he’ll be a very good player.

I would normally expect us to win this one but, as others have said, the outbreak of 'flu in the squad is a major concern, especially if those who have it don't recover in time and we get more cases.

My other worry is the serious decline in scoring goals. Last month we scored 14 in 5 games (2.8 pg) whereas in December we have only scored 3 in 4 (0.75 pg) and have not scored more than one in any match. I'm sure a lot of this is due to BTA's injury and Haji's lean spell. I think it's time to reinstate Ellis as our starting striker. He did well in November and I'm surprised he was dropped.

If we are able to put out a reasonably strong team I'm going for 2-1 to us.

Thats down to Rudoni for me. He slows us right down with his current main character syndrome. Dont know if he's believing his own hype but we've looked shit going forward since he came back in and its the elephant in the room. Wants to be the source of everything

Hes an unbelievable player at this level and im not advocating to drop him but hes pissing me off, stay central and do what you do in the 10, there's no one better in this league at it

His shooting is way off what it used to be, but I can’t help thinking he’s playing through a shoulder problem.

I must admit I tend to agree to an extent. We dont look as good with BTA missing and Rudoni now back instead and BTA was supposed to be a makeshift stand in. He seems off his pre injury form and struggling to.make an impact for me. Hopefully it will return PDQ

He doesn’t seem to get into the box as much anymore, he scored loads last year by arriving in the box late and not being picked up.

I understand the point you are making but Rudi didn’t hold the 10 position when he was on fire. He drifted, making him hard to track.

I don’t thing he’s changed his game much he’s just not hit the heights of last season yet …. I’m sure he will.

I agree that he needs to be playing in the central number 10 role, albeit with some licence to roam. I think we cause problems for opposing teams when Torp and Rudoni keep popping up all over the pitch.
