It's totally in our hands. Middlesbrough need 2 more wins than us. Ipswich need to win their 2 games in hand then also need to win 2 games more than us. Hull and Millwall need a few wins more than us. All these teams have to play each other so there will be a lot of dropped points with only 12 games to go for most of us.

But the sudden confidence on here is getting me a little worried. No game is a given. Take each game as it comes. Win our home games and we're about there.

After 6 minutes

They have at least 5 first teamers injured. Lots of inexperience on the bench. Apparently.

Stoke were doing well until their injuries started to mount up. They've struggled for a few months with injuries and the problem is they have a good 1st team but not much more. Robins hasn't had much of a chance to build a good squad yet.

76 yr old Paul Parsons is walking the 54 miles from Stoke to the game in support of Muscular Dystrophy.
In support of his (everybody’s) cause What’s the chance of chanting his name on 54 minutes?
“ There’s only one Paul Parsons”
Paul, if you get to read this I’ve made a $100 (Canadian) donation in your name

Another 40 years since we did the double apparently. Same as Sheff Utd was? Or was it West Brom?

Cant see past a home win here. Our record at the CBS under Lampard is impeccable.
Don't forget we helped Mark Hughes get the sack when they were a prem outfit (just) so we should hopefully win but no doubt in true CCFC fashion after our 3 battling wins we go into hiding and fuck up

I'm nervous about today's match, although to be honest I think that's going to be the case for the rest of the season now. The final run-in is fast approaching and every game is starting to feel like a cup final.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma about Oneyeka. I tend to agree with those who think he needs a rest but he has already shown what an important player he is for us. I'd probably start with him but bring Eccles on around 55-60 minutes or even at half time if we lead by, say, a couple of goals.

I can't believe what strength in depth we suddenly seem to have, now that our illness and injury problems have - for the time being at least - gone away and we have had a good January window. It's insane that, in midfield, we can have Torp, Eccles and Allen on the bench or, in the case of Allen, not even in the match day squad.

PUSB!

Said it before Sheff U and same today; having squad depth doesn’t mean we have to change the starting XI.

Keep the winning team, go at them early and make substitutions early. Knowing it won’t be at a detriment to the team and we can adapt tactically as required.

It's important that we (players/fans) are up for the so called easier games between now and the end of the season. In my head I've only considered Southampton, Wrexham and possibly Derby as teams that could cause us any issues at our place, whilst with Stoke, Sheff Wed, Pompey and PNE (I know), I've mentally collected the points. Difficult not to try and predict results as the finishing line draws nearer; I just hope we don't get complacent.

About as likely as me taking my boots and getting thrown on for Haji for the last 5.
