Can see rotation here as Stoke are a more compact team willing to sit back and break on the counter.

Can see Kitching, Esse and Simms in as they’ll more than likely play a low block

This means Haji won’t have that space to run in behind, we’ll need Ellis to batter their big CBs and hold the ball up.

Esse’s unpredictability will be needed to unlock their defense, Saka has been quality but maybe a rest here and there would see him through to the end of the season whilst maintaining form.

I think we’ll see Kitch in as we’ll need his ball playing in this one, as good as Lati has been they’ve all been different sorts of games where we’ve sat with backs against the wall for most of the game. I think Kitch’s switch balls will come in handy to stretch the play.

It’s got 1-0 written all over it, I think Rudi bags a late winner

They don't play in a low block. In fact Lampard reckons they play the highest line in the league.

Another 40 years since we did the double apparently. Same as Sheff Utd was? Or was it West Brom?

Cant see past a home win here. Our record at the CBS under Lampard is impeccable.

Sheff Utd was more like 20-25 years I think, shortly after Prem relegation. Although I don't imagine they've done the double over us often, we tend to beat them at home and lose there.
40 years since a double over West Brom sounds believable.

2001/2002 season we last did the double over them. Both 1-0.
Lauren Delorge away , David Thompson at home ⚽️ ⚽️

Mark was almost morbid in today's presser.
Although he managed to say "we are going there to try to get 3pts."
I know he is mostly downbeat but today he was on a new level of realism & jam tomorrow.
He did refer to many injured players within his Soke squad. Said a few would be back in training nxt week.

I'm not having it. Tough match. City win.

I think we'll start the same team and make changes as and when, no easy games at this stage but our home form is great so hoping for another 3 points towards Shangri La
