Can't see the same starting 11 for this on such a quick turnaround. Think maybe Kitching, Torp, Eccles, BTA, KKH, Esse and Simms may get extended minutes.

I reckon you can’t let your foot off the pedal at this stage as the closer the end of season gets the more they fight - at home get the first goal with the strongest team then back off

High energy press high, win the ball, flood the box.
3 up after 60 mins.
5 subs.

I want to see us beat Stoke (obviously) and keep a clean sheet.

Our defensive record has been much improved of late. In our four games in February we have kept two clean sheets and conceded only two goals, one each against Middlesbrough and Sheffield United. We conceded in every single one of our seven games in January.

With Onyeka now settled in the side and some other defensive improvements, I hope that we can continue to be good defensively.

Stoke have the best defensive record away from home in the whole division, having conceded (from memory but I'm sure it's correct) fifteen goals in seventeen games. I can't see it being a goal fest on Saturday but I can see us winning 1-0 or 2-0. I will be delighted with that 😊

Wright was carrying his left arm after getting injured and not moving it freely. I suspect he's struggling with it and might not make Saturday. It made me chuckle that the commentators last night thought his hand bandage was due to an existing injury

I'd be wary of resting too many players. The Charlton game should be a warning for doing so against weaker opposition. If Wright is injured then fair enough, but not sure I'd change much else.

cant underestimate this one - keep the back 4 the same, grimes and tank if possible, rotate wingers, keep wright starting

Everyone saying we have to rotate, I dont think we do, odds are Bristol will beat Port Vale leaving us 11 days between games

Even if they dont its a full week

This 11 has just won 3 on the spin, dont change it, we have recovery time coming
Don't get ahead of ourselves. There might well be 11 days before the game after, but there's still only three days between last night and Stoke. Some of the players looked tired.

Wright might be carrying an injury so definitely consider Simms. I think Stoke will sit deep so we need plays that are capable of a bit of magic or will put them under pressure, so Esse for Saka is a maybe and BTA could be useful, though maybe bring him off the bench.

And if we don't make changes, we have to use the subs sooner. Eccles and Torp are option for any of the three midfielders and KKH for one of the full backs.
