I guess we’ll see but Yates loves a goal against us, I just think it’ll be more challenging than some are anticipating
They might be hard to break down but we have the firepower to win where others rely on 1 or 2 players.

Of course they could shut us out like Oxford, but to do that would mean they have luck on their side. Maybe 25 shots or more for us and keep them to long range. It's possible to be confident yet not overly confident.

How long has it taken Lati to nail down a place and make a useful contribution?

He started the first 7 games after signing.

He also cost a fraction of what Markelo did.

And then went off the radar and seemed surplus to requirements.
And cost doesn't really have a lot to do with it.

But none of us know how it will pan out with Markelo because we've not seen enough

I’ve not said that. I’ve just said it’s noteworthy that we’ve spent a lot of money for us on a player who can’t get a start as that isn’t something I’m aware has happened before and cam and a couple of others have lost their damn mind, which is amusing me. I think the best comparison so far is Woolfenden, but for some reason people get really upset when you point this out and make up the most hilarious excuses like “he’s getting up to speed”.

Still got the title to win. You play your best team, leaving Esse out just because he’s on loan would be stupidity.

He’s really not that good cam. We’ve been leaving him out most weeks and we’ve been fine. Exactly how bad do you think Markelo is? He cost more than EMC!

Markelo had barely played in the months prior to signing and since joining seems to have surpassed Yang in the pecking order and has even come on ahead of Esse. Those two are highly rated.

It’s hilarious how desperate you are to write him off because of the transfer fee.

I’m not saying he is, I’m saying the fact he’s on loan shouldn’t come into the decision at all.

He had a month off. Yang is not highly rated by anyone he couldn’t get into the Portsmouth side.

And again I’m not the one claiming playing him will lose us a 12 point lead for the title!

Yang’s on a 6 year contract at Spurs and has caps for the Korean NT…

Ipswich’s two games in had are a fairly big asterisk on that 12 point lead.

You’ve lost the plot lmao

Neither you, or anyone else on this forum, has it within their skill set to say the Markelo is a good or bad player based on the little we've seen. If they did they'd be working in the recruitment department of a CL side

As i said we should be playing our bext XI and if Saka is out that means Esse in
Hasn't FL said they are getting Markelo up to speed for Championship football?

Surely that means you don't pick him from the off. He's a player to be introduced gradually, isn't he?

Like the way some judged Ayari in the championship.. regular now in PL

Well he was poor for us, (and subsequently Blackburn).
But as I've said before, there are 3 parties involved in a loan move, those 2 loans both worked out well for 2 of the parties, the loaning club and the player.

Remember when you gave the Lampard appointment a bit of time before you cast judgement? Do that here. Cheers.

I can’t find another player that has suddenly started turning up for the first team after failing to start in the first three months but happy to be proven wrong. EMC started his first game for us.
Kasey Palmer. He had blisters for three months after preseason.

I mean I’d argue Frank Lampard who decides whether we see him or not is somewhat qualified but OK
