If Boro' draw today we are promoted by goal difference unless those teams get cricket scores. So relax. If boro win they could win all remaining games and pip us to 87 points. We would have to lose all our remaining games.

Ah well , really poor throughout and 2 games on a row really poor performances throughout the team , limping over the line it seems .

Poor starting 11 and dreadful levels of intensity against the worst side the championship has ever seen

Poor starting 11? Strong as possible barring saka missing?

I think wright and Simms were shit. Another day we make a late breakthrough and win 1 nil. We weren't terrible just didn't have enough about us to get the important goal

Torp cameo was good at least.

They weren't; they were organised, but had nothing in the way of threat. They looked like we should have expected them to look; a team that doesn't win but doesn't get battered either.

Exactly, they didn’t look like the worst championship team in history today.

I don’t understand how you can put in a performance like that on a day like this. It makes no sense.

What the fuck was up with Wright again ? Lazy bugger just looks disinterested most games. Simms is just lacking quality. We’ll get there but they’re going to need others to step up as usual in front of goal.

There was nothing wrong with Wrights work rate today. Lack of quality maybe, but his work rate was fine

Everything was set up for a glorious performance and it was completely flat. Onyeka has really disappointed me recently. No long driving with the ball. Eccles would have given more guile.
Our crossing was pretty shambolic. Ipswich have their tails up now and we need to step up once more.

My God some of you are worse than my 4 year old, talk about throwing a strop. We still got a point from a team that is down and has only one thing to play for, pride. We could have played all day but we wouldn't have scored, it was that type of game, and the crazy thing is if Boro don't get anything we are as good as up.
It shows how lacking in humility many of our supporters have become if they think we 'should' win every game, and it was written in the stars we will do it in front of our fabulous away fans at Blackburn rather than in front of a record crowd where many have never been before, I say that as I know three Liverpool fans who live in Coventry get tickets and went to see the game.

I think that was the problem right there.

If either Wright or Simms had been on form, or looked half decent, then we goals would have come

Wright looked jaded and off colour and Simms just had one of his bad Simms days, which he is prone too. The ball was coming off everywhere except his feet.

They were both sub par and then add to that the fact that BTA had a poor game too, means we had little threat.

A lot of the crossing was poor too, mind.

Torp put in a couple of beauts but poor before that.

You cannot start any game with that lack of intensity and expect anything. Only started upping tempo last 20. Disappointing

They sort of did.

They didn't look like they'd be able to score against the training cones. A team playing even slightly better than we did today puts them away. You can see why they've got so few points, even without the deduction.

Maybe weighed down by the expectation a bit? I don't think we were complacent, I just think we lacked intensity.

The team selection on the right wing was wrong. We wasted 65 mins with BTA on the right wing. He is not a winger or a number 10.
Against a back 5 in a low block it was obvious before the game that the team needed width and creativity, which BTA does not provide.

Typical clumsy efforts from Simms. He just does not have the technique, composure or the goalscorers instinct to be a top player at this level.
The only positives are that it is clear that players like Simms and BTA are not good enough for a Premier League squad and should be sold in the summer.

Unfortunately, that performance may be the difference to getting promoted or winning the title.

Frustrating, frustrating game.

Didn’t find second gear until too late and only in patches.

On reflection starting BTA wasn’t ideal. And too many sub par performances.

Such a Cov thing to do, but still in our hands to win the league.

I don’t wish to gloat but the only other occasion this season where I’ve given up my ST for somebody else was Oxford Utd
Anyway, on my way to Wembley (again, OVO OVO!) To see The Damned supported by Peter Hook & The Light.
It’s a dirty job but someone’s got to do it

5 games in 14 days coming up. 4 are away, and that run includes playing Boro and Saints.

2 wins will do it for us. Wouldn't mind a Blackburn win today mind, so they're at 50 points and on the beach Fri.

Yea, Ipswich will be quietly confident they can pip us to the title I think and they have the experience from going up previously.

Will be disappointed if we finish 2nd after how this season has gone
