True. Granted he didn't bring some of those players in over the summer, he can usually still get a tune out of teams. They are very much in the position we were in last season, low in confidence and needing a boost. I bet he shifts a few out in January and i've no doubt they will have a turn in fortunes.
For once, i'm glad it's not us with with a challenging start to deal with and it feels good.
He'll want to sort that defence out as soon as possible, for whatever reason Tanganga hasn't helped.

Just catching up-the ultimate game of 2 halves and credit to the manager to identify the weakness in the first half and changing it at the break.
Not sure what the idea was playing Eccles in the that position and he’s not the type of player who will likely thread a ball threw with a killer pass. We looked more in control when EMC came on and he gave us the width required on the left especially. We got a bit jittery towards the end which with a one goal lead is always the case, but put it to bed at the best time.
Didnt get on board with pantomime villain scenario regarding O’Hare who was always going to raise his game against us and played well. In a nutshell we weren’t at our best but that is what good teams do-get the result.

He very nearly executed a killer pass about 3 times in the game.

100% take 40 points by mid way given some of the fixtures though fancy we might have more
Game 23 is Boxing day. Home games before then we have WBA, Charlton, Bristol, and Swansea.
40 points at that stage means losing one of those home games and all of Stoke, Middlesboro, Ipswich, Preston, and Southampton away.

is he? he looked to be playing some kind of rcb role last night?
No idea, i don't pay enough attention to them to know. The guys i was talking to said they are not fond of McGuinness and that Tanganga had been playing out of position, also that Wilder was stubborn with formation, Peck is his favourite and undroppable. There seems to be a lot of discontent among their fans, although they did think they played better last night.

We got McCallum back on loan for 1.5 seasons too, it was a great deal for the club.
I still say someone screwed up McCallum's progress, (probably Norwich). When he left he was cutting in and blasting shots goal wards and looked a brilliant prospect. Forgot he had a long throw.
Couldn't get in Sheff U team much last season.
