Has anyone seen a more dominating performance live or on TV? I don’t think I have.

Fair play to the team, at 7-0 we were still looking for goals. Credit to Lampard et al!

I also love that lampard said he wasn't happy with the final 20 minutes

We need the highest standards. I thought Simms and KKH were poor as subs and whilst it's not worth a meltdown or pile on it's encouraging to know lampard wants more from everyone

One of the greatest days in the history of our club.
King is the best owner we've ever had.
Lampard is an absolute chad of a manager.
Absolute dominant display from our boys.
Couple of signings incoming I'm sure.
But but Wrexham signed Doyle! Useless cunts could sign Mbappe and still go down, they are absolute shite.
Anyone still polluting this place with negativity in the coming days can wedge themselves firmly in the bin.

Yeah great day all around but my god weren't QPR shit.

The other stuff is great, no traffic on the M5 on a bank holiday weekend is a fucking miracle, no mistake.

Been out all day at a bbq and missed the match (doh !!), but followed the game on my mobile via goal alerts.
There were so many of those, that my battery almost died lol
Just watched the highlights, and to be honest, we could have had 10, due partly to our great play, but also QPR's awful defending.
My thoughts :

-Top scorer last year was Wright (striker) with 12.
At this rate, we could not only have a couple of strikers beating that, but we could also have 2 midfielders with more than that as well.
That's extraordinary really, and makes you wonder how insanely valuable, Frank's midfielder knowledge and experience is.
Both Rudoni and Torp have improved immeasurably under Frank, Joe, and the coaching team.
Torp's 2nd goal today was filthy.

-Matt Grimes for £3m is looking like an absolute bargain.
He looked like he controlled the game today, with his usual understated style and coolness on the ball. He's such a good link player between defence and midfield. I don't think there's a better player in his position, in this division.

-BTA is improving, game by game, and surprising many of us. Keep it up BTA
Excellent goal today, and used his immense upper body strength, to set up Wright's 2nd goal.

-And finally...the club and ground are reunited.
That's something i didn't think i'd see again my life time (i'm in my 50s)

I have to say, DK has done a cracking job as owner, even more so when you compare him to the inept SISU clowns who owned us previously.
How can one owner be so bad, and another be so successful (so far at least) ?
The main concern in my mind, is whether DK sticks to his 5 year plan and sells up...in which case buying the stadium is a smart move, as that asset (when added to a successful team), will greatly improve the club's value, and be attractive to a prospective new owner.
Or will his (so far) successful time at Coventry, turn him into a real fan, and encourage him to stick with us.
Personally, based on his record so far, i'd want him to stay, due mostly to the numerous squad and infrastructure improvements that he's instigated.
He also seems an honest and likeable chap.
New wealthy/foreign owners sounds great, but they don't always work out well...just ask Wednesday fans.

Agree with your sentiments although it was Richardson and co who helped get us in the mess. Their are good and bad owners of various nationalities.

Sheaf can fuck off.

A worse burden than O'Hare. Any of the morons saying we're a better team with him in it are rightly silent at the moment. It is of no coincidence that we are killing it without him in the squad.

Looking forwards to all the apologies and christmas cards this year.

I think that’s very harsh. Sheaf is a good player when he can stay fit although it’s not easy to see a route back to being a starter, other than when one of the others (probably Grimes) is injured, suspended or needs a rest. Few other teams will have an option of his quality on the bench.

He won’t be happy with just being a squad player, so I think he will leave us in January or next summer.

Your obsession with sheaf deems any opinion you have of him invalid tbh . He isnt currently a starter but there isn't many better options to replace grimes should he get injured

Tbf just one thing to note on this as I do agree with most - DK has never said he's looking to sell after 5 years, in fact when interviewed he specifically said he hasn't set when he wants to sell the club, and he wants to be around for the long-term. Now of course we can all read into his actions and the 5 year comment and assume that may not be completely true, but if you take him at face value he doesn't seem in a rush to move on anyway.

Just seen the highlights. I thought EMC against Derby would be a contender for goal of the season, but Torp's second yesterday was just the best strike of a ball you could ever wish to see.

Although as I type this the thought does occur that in a higher league he would never have had that much time and space. Still, absolutely brilliant in its precision

In fairness to KKH, he’s not a winger. If there are games we need people from the bench to change the tide of the game, we’ll still struggle. Rapha looked decent but still v raw.

Lampard has said we need a LW and a CB so presumably we’re working on making that happen.

Looking at FotMob, apparently our xG was 1.27 which I believe has got to be a mistake. That’s less than the opening day v Hull.

We were unbelievably efficient today and we scored from chances that were low xG but Haji x2, BTA and Rudoni’s first were all clear cut chances iirc.

Tbf when I rewatched the game it was quite amazing how their defence just sort of parted and how often the ball snook into the corner of the net, almost every shot we took turned to gold

Obvs an xG of 1.27 is too low for that game in reality but I can see how the xG would be markedly lower than expected. I do think we got a bit lucky to score so many goals, but I’m not for one second saying we shouldn’t have scored any less than 4 or something like that, we were clearly light years ahead of QPR.

In my head, I thought the xG would be similar to Derby last week, probably less because penalties are 0.8 on it. I didn’t expect it to be our lowest xG of the season!

We battered QPR and I’ve never seen such a one sided game. This was the type of performance that leads to a snap sacking of the opposition manager.

Their manager will be fuming with a lot of the goals but our second goal was such a gift that more or less killed the game off for us.

They were relentlessly dedicated to messing around at the back and got caught or nearly caught far too many times. To compound matters when they did give the ball away, they sort of just ambled back to recover.

It was very poor. They’d better hope it’s just early season rustiness.

Noticed yesterday more than normal when passes were played by them our players were very close to the reciever and just nipped in and picked the ball of them as they tried to control it. Our defenders this season seem to be going into tackles harder (no nonsence that balls mine attitude)

Yeah I agree, I didn’t expect the xG to be quite that low, we completely outplayed them but at the same time the type of shots we had just seemed to fly into the net for no reason really I can see why the xG was lower than expected tbf, their defence just seemed very slow and their keeper was dog shit, it was just that some of our shots seemed a bit flukey but it doesn’t for one second mean the win was flukey, we deserved at least 4-5 of those goals. I can’t see the next league game being anywhere near that easy though, even if it is Oxford

They reduced Birmingham to 1 shot on target yesterday, which typically went in, but Rowett will defo try and shithouse us. Think we're getting to the point where we should still have too much though.

Agree with this. QPR defending and persistence with playing out from the back first half was truly unbelievable. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an inept display from an opposing team at the CBS. Their only player who looked up for it was the guy who played left wing. Having said that it was a dominant display where most things clicked and 7 could have easily become 8 or 9.
As for Lampard I think he was rightly frustrated by the final part of the game. For me it was not just the subs but the whole team seemed to switch off. The most annoying thing about their goal was not the dreadful marking, or Rushworth rooted to the spot but Kitching giving away a petulant unnecessary free kick (seemingly in retribution for a previous tackle on Thomas) and getting booked as well. I’m sure Lampard is fuming with him.

Oh yeah we’ll definitely beat Oxford I assume, I just can’t see us coming up against a more leaky defence than QPR all season, unfortunately

I still think we need another quality CB for those times when either Kitching or Thomas are injured/suspended, or just to give players a rest during busy weeks. If we’re to sustain a promotion bid this season we need that bit of quality on the bench, easier said than done but we need it.
