Lampard summed it up perfectly, at it from minute and we ran all over them. Haji looked like a 15 million striker today he bullied the CB’s. Torp & Rudoni a class apart aswell.

As good as we were, their manager if clueless persisting with playing from the back, it was clear to everyone in that ground we were going to catch them out.

Honestly the disrespect for Torp. If there are people that still can't see how good he is yet I'm not sure what to say.

I wanted to trade him in tbh, at the time I did rate him but his first 18 months with us but he always seems to either be injured or recovering from injury. I'm glad I don't get a say in transfers as so far he finally looks fully fit and looks fantastic.

He was getting into good nick before he picked up that freak injury last season. Just so refreshing for midfielders to shoot at the goal, I’ve been starved of it too long.

It's not coincidence that since we bout in one of the world's all time best goal scoring CMs, our CMs have all stepped up a gear and shown huge improvements. Long may it continue.

If only he could bring Rooney in as striker coach and JT as defender coach and Cashley as wingback coach!

He was getting a little lost in games at first, he’s imposing himself much more now.

Apparently QPR fitness is a shambles and the guy in charge doesn't believe in being peak condition on august

Well see how good we are over next few games I guess for sure
Cook has taken that to heart, the fat fuck looks like he's be more at home stumbling out of the city arms than playing football.

QPR were absolutely honking, they could be fucked this season. They've been circling the plug for a while.

What was pleasing was that they shared the ball unselfishly to make good chances better. Hence this led to 7 goals. I still think we need a CB and possibly another CM in the Hamer mould to really anchor things and make us more solid defensively.

A fantastic performance and occasion well done to the boys.

However, the drive home has allowed me to temper the overexcitment.

First, I will say - we were in control for the whole match and it was a fantastic performance with some brilliant performances and goals...

However couple points to note - our xG was actually relatively meh 1.27, and whilst I'm not a massive stats person it firstly proves two things:
1 - that stats don't matter
2 - that today was very much just our day, good strikes yes, but also their keeper was the reincarnation of Collins, truly awful, and that should be taken into account.

We deserved today and were very assured but this QPR team were being asked to play in a way that caused them their own problems for much of the game. Manager won't last long persisting with that.

If we can keep them all fit and in form (let’s be honest if we can keep Torp fit the other two seem pretty indestructible *touches wood*) we’re going to have a great season, just unplayable today.
Fuck me . What's altered you from total negativity to this ?

Grimes Torp and Rudi is a scary midfield three

Torp is really growing in confidence

I totally agree. I posted the other day that I think we have the best midfield in the Championship.

As good a player as Gus Hamer is, we now have (as a group) a better midfield than when we had him and O'Hare. Torp and Rudoni are great players at this level and Grimes just holds everything together.

He always looked top quality, he just needed to bulk up a bit and get used to the pace and physicality of the British game, along with having an extended run.

He's now proving what a great signing he was, and what a great bit of scouting it was by the club.

Anyone know what happened post game with the QPR fans and Kolli (their 26). He went over to them on his own, after pretty much all the rest of his team had already gone down the tunnel.

Loads of stewards around. Couldn’t work out if it was all kicking off or he was just apologising and actually speaking to them.

Ladies and gentlemen, what a time it is to be a Coventry City fan! I know it's still early days but we've also started the season quite quickly which is another welcomed change.

Who knows, maybe, just maybe the stars are finally starting to align with our sights set on the PL...

I'm enjoying this journey so far anyway.

On reflection after having rewatched the highlights, what I loved today was the direct through balls behind the defence. Clean, quick, decisive balls along the ground, none of this “loop it in the air and hope for the best” bollocks, just silky smooth football along the ground.

We play so much better when the ball is slightly in front of our attackers so they can run on it and the decisions are quick, not pissing around going backwards and forwards to the defence. Looked like a different team today, albeit QPR’s defence and keeper were shocking.

Has anyone seen a more dominating performance live or on TV? I don’t think I have.

Fair play to the team, at 7-0 we were still looking for goals. Credit to Lampard et al!
I also love that lampard said he wasn't happy with the final 20 minutes

We need the highest standards. I thought Simms and KKH were poor as subs and whilst it's not worth a meltdown or pile on it's encouraging to know lampard wants more from everyone
