On the odds talk, we're still joint favourites to win the league and favourites for a top 2 finish.

To finish in the top two we are going to have to perform at virtually the level of Middlesbrough and Ipswich for the rest of the season. I'd love to think we will but, given the way we have played for over two months, I can't see it.

I'd love to be wrong.

I had zero confidence we would score a winner as the game went on .. so much so i cashed out 30 pound on the 70th minute for a near 90 quid 5 team acca

Three points I'd make though, firstly Ipswich will pretty soon have a bag full of games to play in a very short space of time if they keep going in the cup. And Hull are blowing hot and cold, they're were $hite to watch today (and the game before that) So either of them romping every game is pretty fsr from a given.

Secondly, I don't think you'll lose your next two at all.
You numbers are there and up, it's just a case of converting them. No team can carry on dominating games and still hitting blanks (even our period as such, we began our latest surge when we started converting them properly)

Oh and thirdly you do know that we "only" drew against Oxford when Adi was in interim charge? As did yourselves earlier in the season. And Millwall. And in their 2 games against Ipswich they won 1, lost 1, by the same margin. They raise their game significantly against the top teams, especially in defence and between the sticks.

We haven’t been dominating anyone for months. Not sure how much you’re watching us but we are truly abject right now. I expect you to put two or maybe even more past us at home with not much reply.

QPR game was an anomaly, but the results at the start of the season weren't a fluke; we were by far the best team in the division on pretty much every metric.

Now we look like a team that would struggle to stay up.

The form was always going to dip to a degree, especially with a small squad, but we had that margin for error. How the squad and management have managed to throw that away in such a short space of time is unfathomable.

I don't think there's any mental strength anywhere in the squad.
We were the best team at the start of the season but once teams started to work us out we have been poor and have continued with the same tactics, isn’t that the definition of madness?

Thought I'd have a look at the match compared with the Hull first game of the season. There were some pretty OTT reactions after that and we all know what happened from there. I don't know why I post on match threads at the time of the match, it's too raw.

It makes things even worse. 2.29 XG to a 1.43 XG

We dropped 2 points today. Nothing changes that,

Cheer up... it could be worse Imagine supporting Oxford.

Did they string 2 passes together?
Time wasted.
Tried every cheating dirty trick in the book.
Never got got out their half.
They had one feeble shot on goal.

Awfull anti football team.
Who will soon be back in league 2 where they belong.

Today was the definition of the "sun shining on a dogs arse"

I'm as annoyed as everyone today, but there are still good things happening. QPR aside, as I thought we were exceptionally poor, in games we have lost recently we have still created several chances. Today, we did have chances to win, Wright's being the most obvious, and we should be talking about a scrappy but important three points.

I take a lot of optimism from the fact that even through this prolonged bad patch we are still creating several chances a game, I would be more worried if we were being dominated and/or creating nothing. We are going to go on, at least, a "mini-run" before the end of the season, of that I am fairly sure, with a chance it starts against Middlesbrough, the question will be if it's enough.

Come on lads, it's tough, but I am sure we are closer than we think. See you at the CBS next Monday for a fantastically important game, and hopefully one that will kick start our season!

74% possession, I can believe it. From Block 10 we hardly saw the ball in the first half with everything being up the other end…..but then saw a lot of it second half. Quite a bit of the build up play was pretty impressive….the runs into the box and the strikers decision making was woeful though.

Calmed down a bit.

Think we played in reflection okay. As poster put above reminded me of Hull. Just missing a spark in attack. Better performance than the last two and a clean sheet (when was our last one).

Copium but hoping we can restart our push with a win against Middlesboro (after they lose Monday night 🤞🏻)

We cant slate the team today ..im certainly not. Frustrated isnt the word.

But it happens ....we played well. Lacked vital ingredient luck.
I'm a little old fashioned (forgive me) in believing that when you are table toppers - With the second best home form in the league, that you shouldn't have to conjure up 'luck' as a means to conquer second bottom in the same league.
Happy to be corrected on any point of this view.

I know I’m optimistic but don’t genuinely feel it was anywhere near as bad as Norwich or QPR. Even stats wise were much better.

If this match happened in our good run, you’d just argue it was one of those days like Norwich at home. I think it’s the circumstance of not winning in three and the anxiety of the others.

Again Copium but don’t feel like it was a complete bust. We had plenty of chances to win it, our strikers are awful atm mind and genuinely starting to think the Bamford fans were onto something. Just hoping blades can beat Boro now

Key contextual differences though namely

1. Oxford are much worse than Hull and were absolutely terrible today

2. Post-Hull we didn’t have the giant spectre of the lead we’d thrown away looming over the players which will impact the ability to go on another good run

3. Our best run of form didn’t start until over a month after the Hull game
