I'm imagining visiting managers pre match talk is "keep them on the run to knacker themselves out, let them bang one in and then hit them as they settle in to park the bus, grab a second in the confusion"

If EMC is out I think it should be Haji shifted out to the left

If Onyeka is ready I'm not sure who he comes in for, it'll probably be Eccles though.

Esse must start ahead of Sakamoto.

I agree with all this. Especially the Haji on the left thing. Esse looked a little lost out there and I'm not sure what Yang is going to bring to the party.

I fear for Mini …… if Mason is out , will Wright get the start on the left ?
This might be another poor loan for him & he’s highly rated at Spurs

Got tickets for this and looking forward to a day in Cov. Match wise…..this could easily ruin the day. The crowd will be expecting a win and that’s always a bad thing. It will negatively affect the atmosphere . If we’re winning , people will be blasé, anything else and it will start to get a bit toxic. It does appear to some fans that this same team has bottled it from one part of the season to the next. All that said a win sets things up for another mini cup final on the 16th 🙏

A lot of eyes on the Hull and Ipswich games tomorrow. Need some fuck ups here otherwise we could be going into our match against Oxford needing to win to stay in the top two. A lot of dependents on other results, yes, but I don't think some realise how close this is now.

Can we handle the pressure? I am not so sure.
Next 2 games for both sides not easy.

Hull v Watford 10th
Hull v Bristol City 9th

Portsmouth 20th v Ipswich
Derby 7th v Ipswich

Ipswich have the harder games. Both their opponents have only lost 1 game in the last 6. Portsmouth playing for their Championship survival and Derby are coming off a week's rest and 5-0 win last game away to Bristol City. Add to this Ipswich have only won once away since November.

Anyone can beat anyone other than Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship. If you think Hull and Ipswich will win both games the bookies will offer you about 15/1. Add us losing to Oxford would make it about 90/1. Not exactly what I would call needing fuck ups.

Scan was yesterday wasn't it. Maybe hear today or tomorrow

Or maybe FL won't say anything until the press conference for the Oxford game

Preston at home was supposed to be the banker for Ipswich before the tough run of away fixtures. Apart from against us they look fairly poor away so I could actually see them a little way off it after 5 away fixtures on the spin.
Hull out of nowhere suddenly look more of a problem. I wish someone would tell them their underlying numbers are shite and unsustainable.

Harsh to drop Eccles after being our best player the other day. I think he'll start and Onyeka will get half an hour off the bench.

I'd bring in Wolf for Kitch. I don't think he's played with Thomas yet in a two, worth seeing how they work together.

Wonder if Markelo will be on the bench with EMC out?

I think someone posted something suggesting they are massively outperforming their xG?

Obviously some of the xG deniers on here jumped on that 🤣
Pretty sure the numbers suggest they should be down near the bottom.

If EMC is out, which is a concern I'd probably play the following

Rushworth
MVE Thomas Woolf JDS
Grimes
Onyeka
Torp
Esse Simms Wright

Can't see Lampard doing that and Kitching, Rudoni and Yang will probably play.

There's no such thing as a banker at this time of the season. There's only 18 points between 6th and 22nd. The only side right in the middle of this is Leicester and they are looking at a points deduction.

On the game, if KKH is fit i'd go for him and Woolf over Kitching and Dasilva. Those 2 simply do not deserve to keep their place in the team right now. You could extend that to quite a few but that left side has really shit the bed. Onyeka should be straight in too.

Franks made it pretty obvious he won’t play Haji on the wing

I think it will be

Rushworth
MVE Thomas Lati JDS
Torp Grimes
Sakamoto Rudoni Esse
Wright

Wilson
Kitching
KKH
Bidwell
Onyeka
Allen
Eccles
Yang
Simms

It’s going to be interesting to see if Frank persists with the same back 4 or if he believes FTT will provide the shield to them and push grimes a little further and not dropping into the back line.
