When Oxford had a player sent off, I thought it was very sporting of us to bring Simms on so we could play with ten men as well

TBF Simms helped to create the only actual chance we had, as he laid the ball off into Sakamoto to set up Wright. We just do not use our strikers well at all.

Yes, because we got a clean sheet Woolfenden & Lati will be seen as a good option against Boro, but our central defenders won't get an easier game all season. Boro will provide much more threat. They also offered us little from the many attacking set pieces we had though, and even with the clean sheet and his recent poor form I would still try to shoehorn Thomas into the team at least.

Ironically we probably could get away with Kitching and Thomas this game and would have benefitted from their attacking attributes. Big call next game. If we get the Thomas and Kitching we’ve had recently Boro will tear them apart.
