Need a bit more to break them down. We're looking OK, but that's probably because they're quite poor.

Potential subs:
Onyeka for Torp
Rudoni for Eccles
KKH for Dasilva
Yang for Esse (though Saka has been booked so could be for him)
Simms for Wright (or move Wright to the left instead of bringing Yang on)

Wright seems to be collecting a double-barrelled name from commentators.
Eccles to Wright-Offside... cross to Wright-Offside... through ball to Wright-Offside.
And, when he does get the ball, his teammates know instinctively he's never going to pass anyway, even if he's stuck in a corner.

Looks like Rudi might be on. Can’t see him with the subs

Not sure it's our fault. The fans will react to what's on the pitch.

Don’t think it’s been that bad. Bit slow, but that’s the antidote to the gung ho football we’ve been playing. Fully in control and we’ll win.

No, it hasn't, I agree. We need more though. We haven't created enough chances or tested the keeper enough either.

Wright switch with Esse and bring Simms on for Esse playing up front

if you’re bringing Rudoni on there will be big gaps in the middle so probably needs the Tank too, and if he (Rudi) drifts left and Haji drifts central, so be it

Fell short unfortunately.

Out general play is okay, but too slow at times and the bottom line is, the keeper has had just one shot to save. The early effort from Wright.

Torp was in a great position on the edge of the penalty area for a chance, but inexplicably he put it wide, when it seemed to be easier to hit the target

Worry that Esse is too lightweight at times. Think we would have had much more joy with EMC in the side

Need to step it up in the second half.

2 shots the Saka one too

Dasilva obviously instructed not to get forward as much.

Seems strange to make that decision at home against a team with 11 men behind the ball and not when you're away defending a one nil lead.

Must get that eye test booked clearly. They did all go in at the start didn’t they, are they all back out? Don’t understand why we never make HT subs

You think the first half was poor?

I just had to listen to a bloke with a horrendously strong Birmingham accent talking to his mate in the queue for the gents about how ‘Coventry’ should be doing this and ‘Coventry’ aren’t good at that.

And then he said ‘Esse’ was ‘Coventry’s best player’.

Was a tough listen.

Slow and ponderous. Woolfendon has had lots of chances for a crossfield ball to Esse but doesn’t want to.

Gets absolutely no help from Esse who half the time is in a different postcode.

Very average considering the opposition. We need to be blowing these away as the team (clinging on) in first. Not sure where the confidence has gone this last block of games. Hard to believe this side has scored 21 goals from set pieces this season.

Waiting for that spark to get us back on track. Please let it come today.

On a positive note, we’ve looked a bit tighter at the back, although they’re up against the dog and duck.

Lati and Wolfie solid in defence so far .... wolfies distribution could be quicker though

In some ways, those 2 him and lati will just kick it out of play if in doubt. Won't be as good offensively

exactly this - Lampard has seemed to fix a few of the problems and yet now we want the opposite of what we were saying after the last few games

JDS has not got forward as much as in recent games (although still out of position a couple of times), and Grimes seems to be further forward and not dropping in as much

just need to get that attacking bite back now, and god knows we’ve got enough talent to do that, just need to find the right formula

Seems the same as most games recently, on top and in control til final 3rd and should be going a goal down...

Thought we'd make a statement today, hopefully we will 2nd half...

Need to up the tempo. A few decent chances in that first half. If one of them goes in the game feels much different
