Even my apparently pessimistic 'next 5' predictions had us winning this one. Don't look like it on that showing.

Not sure what to think, played ok, started brightly, they seem happy for us to have the ball, but we look void of ideas at times. Esse is a fabulous player but has offered nothing on the left side and keeps drifting out to the right and then we have no width out left. We've been opened up a few times, but they are pretty poor. You can see why they are second bottom.

Rubbish first half.

You’re playing 2nd from bottom at home and have no energy or guile to take them to the sword.

We look scared and slow with everything we’re doing.

Get Onyeka and Rudoni on for Eccles and Torp. Get Esse off for Yang. Esse really worries me as a starter.

For all our possession we have fuck all in the final third.
We are way too slow and laboured in our build up.

This is a better performance than the last two games, Oxford are poor though. I understand the frustration when we can move forward and they pass back though. Also lucky to not be 1-0 down

A decent start, but otherwise just so slow in possession. Total contrast to how we were playing at the start of the season when we moved the ball so much quicker.

Hopefully Onyeka can inject some energy and I'd be getting Rudoni on pretty soon.

Fell short unfortunately.

Out general play is okay, but too slow at times and the bottom line is, the keeper has had just one shot to save. The early effort from Wright.

Torp was in a great position on the edge of the penalty area for a chance, but inexplicably he put it wide, when it seemed to be easier to hit the target

Worry that Esse is too lightweight at times. Think we would have had much more joy with EMC in the side

Need to step it up in the second half.

Get Rudi and Yang on, don’t need Frank here winning the ball is no issue but need more discipline on the wings than Esse is giving and more goal threat in the midfield. Just all a bit flat and deliberate.

Pretty comfortable but need a bit more quality in the final third. Thought Eccles and Sakamoto were probably our best players.
Eccles? You got to be kidding me.

I'm not sure about that. If we'd gone in 2 or 3 up I'm not sure you could say we didn't deserve it. Nowhere near our best, but we're by far the better team.

One maybe. We’ve only had three shots on target.

We're definitely missing EMC.

Yep energy
Starts at the back
Two touches
Get the ball forward with purpose and let Torp saka wright and Esse do the clever stuff
Winding me up how slow wolf is with the ball
I know we’re trying to be patient
Started well but then lost the energy
