Passing from Doyle/Kelly has been poor.

Mainly Kelly tbh, think the spaces are too large between the players, need to get closer to each other.

Also doubling up on jones, need someone on the other wing to take advantage

Agree, need Andreu and Nazon on imo, lose beavon and Vincenti

Wouldn't fancy losing Vincenti tbh, not having his best game but we'd be very one dimensional against a big newport side without him. No-one's really had the time to turn and run at players yet, would save Nazon for 20 minutes to go when there's more space.

I agree he is useful on set plays, but he isn't winning anything in the final third for us, and there is a lot of space if we can get it down and control the play a bit

The pitch looks a little slow to me. Grass a bit longer than before or needs a water? No idea what the weathers been like back home.

Our pass completion must be about 12% this half, shocking display so far

Do agree Pipe is winning a lot against him, wanted him and JJ to swap sides 15 mins ago!

Disappointed we are doing poorly. Feel like our optimism has been misplaced

McNulty and beavon just both so out of the game, need somebody to link the play, begging for Andreas, or even Stevenson for a bit of calm in the middle of the park

McNulty with a great touch, but isolated and runs it out of play

There has been very little interchange so far which could perhaps work

City corner headed poorly wide by Vincenti. Nothing at all behind it

Didn't have anything else on, nobody in the box, beavon was the closest person to him, and he was marked, would have been a waste to hold it up as more Newport players were getting back quicker than we were. Right decision, wrong execution

We just need to stop launching it long. Doyle and Kelly are too deep

Another bad pass from Doyle, counter attack for them. Goes over

Long range effort skied by Newport after possession given away poorly by Doyle who then backed out of a challenge to stop a counter

Get Andreu or Stevenson on in the Number 10 role to join midfield and attack.

Ping pong in our box after a header from Vincenti played back towards McNulty and Beavon can't get a shot away

Corner is a poor one

So unlucky!
Good cross by Kelly, Vincenti head it's back across, beavon volleys keeper saves, and McNulty tries to poke it in, but defender makes a great block

We're making hard work of this and making them look good in the process. Robins needs to fire a rocket up them at half time. Maybe even a sub or two to shake it up.

Doyle gets beaten near the by line by Nouble, corner then conceded, good take by Obrien

Last 5 mins we seemed to grow into it, but it was a poor half and it needs sorting

Just as we were starting to look a bit more threatening. Hope a Robins team talk can knock us up a gear after HT.
