We will do well to hold on to him this summer, especially if we dont go up. When you see the money thrown about on absolute gash in the premier, someone will take a punt with a 30m I wouldn't be surprised.

You post an awful lot of pony at times but that eclipses the lot

He’s too slack. Collins and Thomas suffer from it too but he’s the worst of the three. If you think our defence has been good enough this year conceding more than Derby then I’m afraid it’s you talking young horses.

To think that, a few months ago, many folk on this forum wanted Ruud van Nistelrooy as our manager rather than FL 😆

I must also confess that I was in the “give Mark Robins more time” camp because I loved him for all that he did in turning our club around. To be honest I always will but looking back I thinks it’s clear that it was time for a change.

Rudoni MOTM for me closely followed by Tats who terrorised them the whole game.

Special mention to Wilson who stepped up when needed today. He might not have the ball control with his feet like Collins, but one massive bonus was I didn't shit myself every time that the ball came near him. I'm happy for him to hoof it up the pitch instead of trying to play from the back. Glad Lampard finally made the call.

Good to see BTA given another chance. I know a fair few don't fancy him in the side but his pace causes panic. Great run and pass for the 2nd.

Rudoni.....you know we love you. Let's stay together and see where the journey takes us.

Nah he’s great and we don’t have the second worst defensive record in the top half.
How many have we conceded since grimes came in out of curiosity

Too easy to just blame the back line for goals shipped when keepers etc are having howlers often

Saka also traps the ball very well. Simms on the other hand has a terrible first touch.

I thought Saka was immense today. Back to his old self with his ball control, crossing and general trickery.

He also worked hard defensively when he tracked back. Without that I don’t think we could have allowed MVE to take throw-ins far upfield on the left.

I agree. Collins does distribute the ball better but the key task of a goalkeeper is to keep the ball out of the net and on that count Wilson is far superior.

Outside of Rudoni who is just a class above. Wilson was MOM. Great saves to keep them out and something I noticed was how verbal he was in communication.

Makes a huge difference
Yes I agree with this totally.

There were a few times that they got in behind our defence but he was there to clean up and get rid. His starting position was excellent.
