Giving yet another team their first crack at the Prem would be a bit wounding. Better than losing to Wilder, Hamer, O'Hare and the Blunt army though.Would love a City Bristol final. Though would be extra annoying to lose to a “worthy” team again and have to be all magnanimous and shit. At least I can hate Sheff Utd after.

You'll be late to the party then. Some of us (me) have hated them since they were singing for SISU in league one
The best would be watching Hamer & O'Hare cry on the pitch while we sing "could have been you" after spanking them.Giving yet another team their first crack at the Prem would be a bit wounding. Better than losing to Wilder, Hamer, O'Hare and the Blunt army though.
Ive hated them since they beat us in 1998… 9 year old me was in tears becuase I convinced myself we were winning the FA Cup that yearYou'll be late to the party then. Some of us (me) have hated them since they were singing for SISU in league one

I still can’t…. The dislike has gone further watching them regularly play against us in the early 2000s, then the league one needle when we lost to them in the 98th minute. It took me longer to recover from that result than any other.
I think it was only when we beat Wolves last season in the quarters that I could finally let it go.
Same age!Ive hated them since they beat us in 1998… 9 year old me was in tears becuase I convinced myself we were winning the FA Cup that year
My uncle went to high field Road to watch the beam back.. he’s hated Sean Bean ever since becuase and I quote “ they showed him with his smug grin after the game”Same age!
My step-dad was on the front of the telegraph the next day with his head in his hands. My uncle went to high field Road to watch the beam back.. he’s hated Sean Bean ever since becuase and I quote “ they showed him with his smug grin after the game”
I was crying myself to sleep after listening to it on the radio
I wasn't allowed to stay up to listen to the end so my parents wrote the end result (in sky blue crayon as if that would make it easier to accept!) and put it on my bedside table. My uncle went to high field Road to watch the beam back.. he’s hated Sean Bean ever since becuase and I quote “ they showed him with his smug grin after the game”

I couldn’t believe Dublin missed a pen eitherI wasn't allowed to stay up to listen to the end so my parents wrote the end result (in sky blue crayon as if that would make it easier to accept!) and put it on my bedside table.
I was more upset that Dublin missed out on the England squad that year bizarrelyI couldn’t believe Dublin missed a pen either
A coventry fan died in the stand at brammel Lane that night too , very sad
Yea he had a heart attackWas there and hadn't remembered that but now you mention it it rings a bell.
Happens a lot around the grounds.
Funnily enough I was arguing with someone about that last week. Along with his goals his versatility should have took him.I was more upset that Dublin missed out on the England squad that year bizarrely
Yea he had a heart attack
Yeh I didn't enjoy Saturday much at all until the second. Don't get stressed leading up to games like that, but once it kicks off I'm a wreck. The play offs won't be an enjoyable experience for me to be honest. It's not difficult to see why it happens.
I had to tell myself to take deep breaths at one point Saturday.
Was talking to a mate post game Saturday who's slightly older than me, early 60s, and he said he was in a right state at one point.
I’m 40 now and don’t think I’ll ever get over it. I’ve hated them ever since. It took me longer to recover from that result than any other.

Felt physically sick from about 11 until the second goal went in and then had to stop myself crying oopsYeh I didn't enjoy Saturday much at all until the second. My lads heart rate was up at 150 most of the gameIt's not difficult to see why it happens.

It was him or Michael Owen if I remember right?I was more upset that Dublin missed out on the England squad that year bizarrely
Les Ferdinand, Rio Ferdinand and Martin Keown didn’t play a minute between them.It was him or Michael Owen if I remember right?
He assisted Michael Owen for a goal in a friendly before the world cup and they took Owen instead. Which to be fair turned out ok
Would of took him over Les Ferdinand to be fair.Les Ferdinand, Rio Ferdinand and Martin Keown didn’t play a minute between them.
My theory at the time was that if they had taken Dion, they could also have taken Gascoigne as Dublin was more versatile than the Ferdinands and Owen (or Keown for that matter). Would have covered several positions with one individual allowing flexibility to use Gazzer in the starting line up of matches or as a substitute.Would of took him over Les Ferdinand to be fair.
Rio made sense as he was a young player obviously going to have a great career.
