I would have Grendel, based on the difference between Wright last few months and Simms. It worked out, fair play, but it didn't work out in other 17 out of 19 games, where he didn't score a goal..Whereas Simms had scored 10 in 13 starts. You can claim that as a victory, but Simms was in form and dropped, then we lost lots of games.

I'm sure some of those games we lost Simms started didn't he?

So you don't think we were more defensive? You don't think we pressed more, than any other game this season?

We've pressed all season, especially early on with BTA.m, it was a big part of our success. We were just that bit more effective with it on Monday because we've added a midfielder who could anticipate where the ball might go beyond the press.

Simms' performance at QPR was so bad that I think it's Wright to start every game provided he's fit enough for the remainder of the season

Even Frank said he changed it. Worked on it all week. Can't be arsed to argue, not looking for a fight. We have not pressed like that, as a team, all season. Clearly having new Frank, has added a different dimension.

Yes we have, when we were blowing teams away at the start of the season the high pressing and winning the ball back high up the pitch was one of our major strengths and why we scored a decent number of turn over goals.

Did a lot of that on Monday, just couldn’t convert the positions.

Listening to various neutral podcasts, they're all still going on about how great Boro and 'hellball' are.

let them, I've said for a while they are far to suspect defensively and if anyone has a proper go at them they can get joy

we did and slapped them about, other teams will be doing the same now.

We chose our moments well, we didn’t press like that all game. Kept up the intensity first half. Start of second half we sat back, kept our shape and let them have the ball for a bit to try and ride out a possible storm.

It’s been highlighted by not just me, but plenty of media outlets, that as a team we have played in many different ways this season - counter attacking, ball forwards quickly from back to the front, slower paced possession based football, hoofing it long, pressing from the front, not pressing from the front, big lads in the box and looking for set pieces etc. The list can go on.

I don’t think we are amazing at any of these particular things; e.g. Boro are amazing at short passing triangles in the middle of the park.

The personnel we have allows us to be a jack of all trades - that’s been a big part of our success when we’ve managed to employ it correctly. I think we are at our best when we move the ball quickly from defence to high up the pitch.

We have a good mixture of technicians, and big physical players (some of our lot fit into both of these categories).

It’s the exact same as what we were doing for half a season only they’re poorer up top.

We've got to have finished Luke Aylings season, he isn't good enough at RB anymore and if he plays CB again then sure the ball is just going to be launched at hm all game.

Hellball is just today's version of Carrickball, they didn't try to change the way they play at all

Watching on Monday was like watching us at the end of last season.

Knocking it about nicely but just refusing to try anything else once it was clear it wasn't working.
