Looks like Lyndon Dykes is headed to Leicester this week

We've missed one there: cracking international striker.

The figures speak for themselves. He has made 46 league appearances for Birmingham over last season and this and scored 3 goals.

Pre-match does my head in. Big screens saying “Our Home, Our Future”, announcer telling us this is our home… then straight after everyone starts singing “Take Me Home”. That song is about wanting to go back somewhere else. At the exact moment the club is saying this is our home, we’re singing about leaving it. We left Highfield Road in 2005. That’s nearly 26 years ago. Loads of people singing that song were never even there. It’s just nostalgia on autopilot now. Highfield Road mattered, but it’s time to move on.

It's a nostalgic song, that's all......
For what it's worth............. nobody really dreams of a team of Gary Breens (he'd have been useless on the wing and in goal - sorry Gary)

My City supporting nephew is coming from Ireland for his first match on Saturday. I'm really excited to take him - youngest of three and I finally got one supporting City - but it's adding to my pre-match nerves. As well my normal desire to win, I really want his first match to be a win, and a good one!

It s nice link with the past and the history of the club. You could argue the Sky Blue Song has been irrelevant for the last 25 years ( hopefully not next year) but it’s our song and our history.

I’m glad we’ve got PUSB and WLADITT because they’re unique songs to our team and city.

When your hear ‘oh when the… come marching in…’ or ‘we’re the finest team, the world will ever see’ chants, it’s boring and copy and paste.

I’d like it if some of our other chants about players were a bit more original.

So we can't sing about our history, but we can sing a pop song with no relevance what so ever??? Lol

A tight encounter 2-1 win to the Sky blues with a goal from Simms and Wright to score from the penalty spot
