I grew up in Burbage c30 years ago. Leicester somehow thought it was their back yard, but plenty enough Cov / Forest to create a nice little rivalry and associated hatred for the whole lot. The Union on a Saturday in Hinckley was fun after a derby.
My parents live here and my Dad is an ST holder too so I spend a lot of time here and Hinckley. But they have my kids tonight so I’m representing Cov with my partner who genuinely can’t even fake interest when I explained the situation.
Definitely see more Cov tops around the village these days!
There isn't a Saturday mens football team over in Burbage or Hinckley, which is a real shame considering Hinckley holds the 2nd largest football stadium in Leicestershire behind the King Power. Burbage fucked off to Huncote to play there, AFC Hinckley play in Barwell and Hinckley Leicester Road folded recently. I live in Burbage so would definitely go along and support a local team if they played there.
Somehow there's enough rugby players to fulfil Burbage RFC and 3 Hinckley teams though. Easier to catch the ball with all their fingers though I guess.
Wigston is home for me now and it's infested with knuckle scraping fuckwits.
They're all socially challenged morons, I've had better conversations with a festering pile of dog shit on the corner of the street.
All the schools in the area closed down in the late 50s, there wasn't anyone anymore to teach the stupid cunts.
