he is actually a Cov fan, he known the family for years

he just made some united tik toks to try and build up a follower base as city tik toks aren't that popular and his Dad is a united fan.

shite decision but he's always supported Cov

I've met Lee once and he was fine, other than the constant vaping regardless of who was around him.
People who are offended by vaping. I don't get.
I'm not a vaper but give then a break most are trying to get away from deadly nicotine.

As a city fan who has lived abroad for a long time, I have watched MattSB and Alex Craig for a long time and have always really enjoyed them especially in the lower leagues when there wasn't as much coverage as there is now. Joner also has his moments and clearly enjoys following us. It's not always easy to get back and they can make you feel like you are there too. Plus, we always seem to lose when I manage to go so my family banned me from going again after the Oxford match until we are promoted. I guess it's safe to go again now.

Matt sb and mates sit in the row behind us a few seats across I like them
I've posted before that I was next to Matt and Sophie at an away game once, they're both incredibly nice people.

I've seen Alex at a few away games, he seems like a genuine and decent s

Going to united games and doing watch alongs (probably whilst cov were playing) as recently as 2024 isn’t something I’d do as a cov fan personally.

I have no issue with people supporting other teams and then latching onto Cov now the times are good. I understand why it's frowned upon, but not an issue personally.

I don't like Lee and Sunny because they are a pair of fucking dickheads.

I'm really not a fan of influencer culture at all, but we all need to wise up to the modern game, and how much of a role these people play in driving awareness and thus the commercial value of and opportunity for the club.

The ones we have right now might be a bit small fry, but high chance they will grow in the Prem, and even attract a whole new breed too.

You only need to look at how much Mark Goldbridge sold his company for to get a sense of the value placed on audience building like this.

Don't think you need to like it, but you do need to tolerate it.

I think you need to distinguish between influencers and vloggers in the OP. I have no issue with some of the vloggers (Alex Craig and Matt & Sophie are my "go-tos"), but the tossers like Harry Kilner, Thoday (or whatever his name is) and Blair McNally, who manage to blag tickets for every game in Europe, and spend all their time being subsidised to watch every club, really get on my tits!
Not a fan of Lewis SB (i think that's his account) - just a silly little kid who misses all the relevant action because he is too busy at the bar.

Yourmatelee is not a friendly guy, had a bad experience with him at an away game where he just wanted to cause some sort of drama. My recommendation is to stay well away, personally.

Glad he was outed as a lapsed Man U supporter. Like many other people who supported Top 4 teams before hopping on the bandwagon.
I'm sure he was on a phone in recently and alluded to Bobby ' God ' Thomas drink driving allegations . Bit unnecessary

Nicotine is addictive, and I think vapes usually have it to satisfy that craving. But they don't contain the other toxic stuff that makes cigarettes deadly.

They do often contain other toxic stuff though especially the dodgy ones.

Nicotine isn’t deadly it’s the other stuff in tobacco that is. Vapers who blow huge clouds for no reason are arseholes though.

Seems like a good way to get into the home end if you can't get an away ticket to me, just say you're a vlogger and get your phone out.

Any one who left Nico in Bedworth 2007/8 knows Lee Worral (beard) and much of a hard man he is, all 5ft 5 of him.

The only time vaping has actually been an issue for me was when I had bronchitis and I walked into a cloud of it. It set me off on a bad coughing fit. So I'd imagine it could be an issue for someone with a chronic respiratory condition.
Plus, some of them stink. And some of the flavours aren't too pleasant either.

I know one or two who vape after giving up cigarettes. I'm probably bias knowing those guys as I do.

Of course , Quite right. It's the tar I understand that is the carcinogenic.

We were stopped for an interview by Blair McNally on Friday. He was stunned when I said no.

To be honest, I've watched some of his stuff and it's been OK apart from the the repeated, squeaky voiced, "oh no".

Glad there's a thread on this.

Anyone wearing a Manchester United shirt and now is trying to get all the attention from our promotion can get to fuck. Exactly the type of person you would have to stand up to back in the school years when they were mocking you for supporting CCFC.

Never trust them, same like those who went to watch Wasps.

TBH. I’m more pissed off by the deeks who set off smoke bombs in concourses and terraces. Foolish kids, streaming eyes and coughing their guts up after a few minutes.

I agree with the sentiments on 'influencer culture' but ultimately, you decide on what you watch. Every browser comes with a back button and a close tab button. Use them if you don't like something. You can even use built in tools on YouTube and social media to block someone and stop them appearing on your feed etc.

These people make their living from people watching their content, if it bothers you that much, don't watch it.

100%.

If people are humble about their damascene conversion, then fair play. It’s a good thing that they’ve come to games and fell in love with our club.

I’ll get the hump with anyone who masquerades as a diehard who supported Man U, Chelsea or whatever tinpot team way back when.

In a sense, I’m fortunate that we were really shit when I was at uni far away (L2 was my first one back home) because that was the only prolonged period I didn’t go to home games.

Harmless, but I much prefer an Alex Craig 'type' , who actually knows his footie, compared to a 'Sunny Takhar' who just screams at the camera and rarely says anything meaningful about the game (yet weirdly, is capable of talking common sense about other things non- CCFC - based on a couple of things I have accidentally stumbled across).. MattSB content is also pretty decent, and informed, too.
That's right there!! When a goal goes in you want to see the reaction of the crowd / players, not a video of a guy screaming down the camera!

Can’t stop them appearing next to you at a game though.

I understand the irritation that as our club's reputation grows, people start to be chosen to represent the fanbase on wider coverage and these choices tend to be based on existing follower count, "camera readiness" and other such things when the feeling is it should be based on consistency, dedication and loyalty.

I'm so far removed from TikTok and "influencer culture" that I didn't have a clue who these two apparent former Man United fans were until the controversy arose. It's just the new world we live in, I guess!

It's properly weird the one people are getting upset with is a local lad who is posting about his local team

even if he did support united it would be a good thing he know supports us
