Not watching the game, but based on comments, does anyone think we might see Brau come on to replace EMC at some point in 2nd half?

The atmosphere feels like we're at a pre season friendly.

Still looking very right sided and a bit slow to get the ball forward. EMC not in the game. Rushworth's kicking unconvincing too.

We need a better striker who the ball actually sticks with. Would make a genuinely huge difference.

Fair play for Sakamoto for having the bottle to go centrally.

The inability for us to move forward without the ball going via Grimes really kills any momentum we have.

First touch is letting him (BTA) down

Why does emc slow down when he's through? Let their defender get back then

Tats and Rudoni real threats so far. Hopefully the Hull players tire from the rearguard action. Sunny day, pinned back quite a lot - may be more opportunity as the game ticks on.

I remember the days when it was noisy regardless of what was going on on the pitch.

Some really nice stuff. Missing that crucial star studded number 9 to bring it all together

A pretty dull half tbh. A continuation of last season in many respects , wide players not near direct enough (more so mason clark)and we are overplaying in many areas .

Frustrating but we are the better team

Take a streaky 1-0. Don't want to drop points against this lot

Acknowledge their CB is quality
Play BTA as silent striker
Make it make sense

Throw Simms on, bully their CB and drag their other CB towards him
Free up more space

Saka best player. Main requirement obvious…no striker to speak of

Doesn’t help when all of our play starts with Grimes in a CB position. Said it all last season, we have to start forward play 5/10 yards further up.

Tight half. It’s ok. Need to up it though

Needed one that half with all the chances.

Overall, I’m happy to have the footie back. Stadium is beautiful!

Simms couldn't bully Warwick Davis.

Pleased with our performance for a first game. Think the bench will determine the outcome mind. I think Simms for BTA might do it. There's enough space for him to control it and hold it up

Alright first half - new season bounce declines slightly when Hull had that brief but positive start.

BTAs touch is so bad that he makes penalty decisions more difficult - probably should have been one though.

Not too bad. Some good performances, Saka and Torp especially, JDS and Grimes looked good too. I'd like to see Wright and Simms coming on, maybe be have a look at Kesler Haydon?
