As he says the Otium accounts were worrying and shows Sixfields was not sustainable for one year let alone 5! He is right to question the precarious way in which it has been financed and the potential longevity of its impact.

Yep, a good read. Not sure that the JR going against the club would result in any FA punishment though.

Im hoping the JR gets cancelled and a deal can be done before June, otherwise id be surprised if they will continue to fund the club next season.

I am thinking that SISU are aiming to win the JR and claim damages on this basis - they will then trade the damages for Ricoh ownership.

On the flip side, a council win might encoruage SISU to do one and sell up!

Where do I start here :thinking about:

A council win to get SISU to sell up? Wouldn't want to put any money on it. Our club owes SISU or whatever you want to call the parts that are involved money. They have not made a loss......yet. They have made an investment. And if they were to sell for an amount less than the loans they will have then made a loss. And who in their right mind would pay over the odds for a 3rd division club? Who in their right mind would carry over the loans? To me if CCC were exonerated the next move would be to negotiate. And as they don't normally negotiate we don't have a clue what each side would settle for.

So what if the JR goes for SISU? From what I can gather it is all about the financing of the loan. They seem to be after a change in the law. Not an easy thing to get. But if they do what can they claim damages for?

Forced out of the Ricoh so loss of earnings? On dodgy ground here. They were not paying the rent on a legally binding contract. They got offers to return. Almost sure of this though SISU didn't want to admit to it. Then CCC played an ace by giving an offer of free for the rest of this season and then less than they were paying at Northampton to the FL. This offer can be proved. How long is it now since the line of being forced out of the Ricoh was used? It seemed to have stopped after the offer via the FL.

Underhand tactics to pay off the loan? We have just had a judge make a judgement that neither side were after making a deal. Nothing illegal found to have happened. Maybe immoral somewhere. Who knows.

So it seems that there were emails sent that could have been worded much better. Official CCC emails? Or were they between people not officially doing them on behalf of CCC? We don't know the full extent of these emails. Just what SISU wanted to use in court. There was nobody there to put up a defence either so we still don't know the full extent of them. But if not official CCC emails there is no fault of CCC to be found. So this would come down to the individuals. And if this was the case do these individuals have the millions that SISU would need and would they be able to sue them for this much even if they could afford to pay?

I have represented myself for the last 18 years approx when needed. Not been in for a few years now though. Nothing as serious as what this could end up though so no idea on which way it could go. We don't know fully what SISU are going to accuse ACL/CCC of and we don't know the evidence. But the way I always represented myself was not to try to prove my innocence but to show doubt from the evidence on the other side. I was in and out of the family courts for about 9 years, 2 alleged motoring offences and another of self defence. And for those that have never had the pleasure of being in court you can have an idea which way it is going but you never know until the judge makes his decision.

So I would expect whatever happens a new agreement will be made after the JR to bring us home. The terms though are dependent on the JR. And the result of that is what we are left to guess about. I can't see even Joy wasting money on building a shed miles from Coventry. Or liquidation which would make the loans into a massive loss.

I think building a new stadium is a very very risky strategy indeed, if it is slightly too far from Coventry then the traditional support that the club has enjoyed and has now collapsed may never recover. There is little appetite for the venture in the fan base.

If a new stadium happens (and I don't expect anything to happen for 5 yrs yet if the status quo is maintained, Garlick will have a lot of minutes!) and the strategy falls flat, then Joy's reputation gets another black mark. The woman who couldn’t negotiate and led a hedge fund into a costly mistake..

No deal can ever be done because Sisu believe the Ricoh to have zero value !!!

Honest answer? You start up a phoenix club, showing that CCFC are in fact a collection of people from Coventry who love football as much as a particular business.

That sounds very romantic but still doesn't answer how it gets rid of SISU and brings in reliable owners to Coventry City Football Club.

Well, I'd argue fans are reliable owners (more so than people trying to make money out of the club). And it gets rid of Sisu by removing the "club" from them.

So yes, it does answer that, you just don't like the answer.

What's your plan post-Sisu? Spend £2m/year on rental and interest to ARVO? Do you expect them to write off the debt as a good will when they go?

OK, so the answer to getting rid of SISU is to start a Phoenix club, your words, not mine.

Again, how have you made the leap from starting a phoenix club starting and SISU turning round and selling the club to fans?

This is nothing to do with my plan post-SISU, my question was quite simply "how do you get rid of SISU" in response to John saying we should get rid of them and get responsible owners in.

You are right on one thing, I don't like the answer, but only because its completely lacking in any explanation or substance.

A phoenix club, taking back the history of CCFC, is a difficult one for any fan to think about.
I'd rather the existing CCFC came back to Coventry. But not looking likely.
If this carries on past this summer, a phoenix is something we might have to embrace.
The idea of a Sisu free club has an appeal.
Let's see what the summer brings and go from there.

No one is covering there ears, but the opinion of many is that CCFC would be better owned if Sisu would sell up to someone else, so my questions would be:

- Do Sisu want to sell?
- How much would they sell for?
- Have Sisu stated a public interest in selling the Club?
- Has any other potential owner declared an interest in the Club?
- Would any party interested in purchasing the Club be willing to meet Sisu's asking price?

If you can answer those questions then we must already have someone into replace Sisu, problem is we don't, people need to wake up to the truth.

The theory is of a Sisu free club. A phoenix club, playing in Coventry, possibly at the Ricoh.
It is as much a plan to scupper the ransom of our club as anything else I've heard.
All the talk is of negotiating with the slippery Sisu. Not got us anywhere.
They, Sisu, could do what they want with their Northampton version.
A phoenix club would be completely independent of them. They can carry on with their strange ways.
From that standpoint your questions have absolutely no bearing on a phoenix club.
Of course, if sisu want to behave like proper, decent business people and negotiate, fine.

But that's my point a Sisu free Club has what chance of succeeding? A good percentage of less than a quarter of this seasons average home attendance voted on a KCIC poll that a Phoenix Club might be option?

When Wimbledon started up they had 4,000 backing there Club! An AFC Coventry wouldn't get that so as I said above, a post you think bares no relevance leaves us with CCFC a Club no one wants to give up on.

7 April 2014 "39% said they will never support an AFC/Phoenix."

Dec 2013 survey "23.5% said they would never support a new ‘AFC Coventry’ club".

So support for an AFC/Phoenix has dwindle from 76.5% to 52%....
