What if the next couple of rounds of results weren't to go our way (hardly unimaginable) and the gap went down to about 5 points with 5 games to play? I can just picture the panic on here. I maintain that there's something wrong with that modelling.
5 point gap with 15 to play where we have Sheffield Wednesday at home.

Panic on here does not reflect mathematics and probability.

WOW Otis I was expecting your 1-1 prediction , I'm with you on this - 2-0 win for the Sky Blues
Quite often am confident to be honest. But as the season has worn on, I have got a bit more nervous, hence the 1-1's. 🤪

I guess it's being too close to the finish line

I don't think there should have been Good Friday fixtures this season.

An extra round of midweek matches could have been accommodated at the same time as Ipswich are playing Portsmouth or Southampton.
Not an issue next year as there wont be any Easter fixtures at all. That though would have meant Ipswich not being able to complete the fixtures in time as they wouldnt have enough midweeks

Derby will be a tough match . They are physical and top the Championship yellow card league table.
Additionally they’ll play counter attacking and if Adjeman is playing, his speed will cause our centre backs big problems.
We need to score early and force them to play more attacking.

That’s right so if you can get much less then it’s worth a bet
Surely the opposite Pete? According to Opta's flawless maths there's less than a 1 in 1600 chance of us failing to be promoted. It's nailed on, making 1/500 brilliant value for promotion, so I presume a number of people on here are grabbing the chance for their free tenner by betting £5000 on it.

What odds are you offering on BetCalista?

Can someone make a 1£ bet accumulator on my behalf, as I haven't made a bet in 15(?) years.
City to win,
3 yellow cards,
Simms for a brace,
Boro draw,
it rains at anytime during the match.

Find me odds anything like 1600 to 1.
You don't seem to understand the way that the bookies work. They offer odds where they win whatever the result is. Most people go for a win in games. You will more than treble your money predicting a draw. I took Southampton at 100/1 to finish 2nd and now they're down to 60/1 without a ball being kicked. It just means the bookies still win even if the seemingly impossible happens and the sides above them where most of the money is going have a poor end to the season.

Would you put the real odds of a club like Leicester winning the Prem at 5,000/1? A few people made an absolute fortune but the vast majority lost their money. The bookies were laughing all the way to the bank.

I never jinx anything to do with CCFC by getting involved with betting. But I definitely get what bookies are up to, which is why yesterday purely out of interest I had an exchange with Ladbrokes which hopefully when promotion has been assured, I will share on here. It completely reinforces what I have been saying about those ludicrous Opta predictions.
