the decision for bling to not sign Bamford is looking odder by the day

It really isn’t - unless it was a deal until Jan which I highly doubt it was.
We’ve got a massive opportunity to use this window as a chance to attract some immense talent who want to make the prem.

Signing injury prone ex-names is wasted space on the rocket ship.

Nah will be Rudi - although MVE overlap will give him space to play across the front I’m sure.

Any team in this division losing players like Tats , BTA & Haji simultaneously to injury is going to stretch any squad.

Unfortunately there aren’t many chimps to power the rocket at the moment

We are obviously short of forwards but the bench has plenty of options otherwise, we’ve had far weaker squads. All three of our outfield signings from this season are there, and two of them weren’t cheap.

see they've gone with the PES versions of a couple of former city centre halves in defence.

Tell me you are a half glass empty kind of guy without telling me.

Why does MVE need a rest? We have just come off an international break, and he's consistently shown that he doesn't break down and can play three game weeks.

EMC not playing well? Is just made up. He's clearly the best LW in the squad, when we dropped him to start BTA it didn't work well. He also has 2 goals in the last 5 which is hardly bad form is it...

Is Allen not an option for Eccles all of a sudden?
MVE has looked jaded for weeks now, EMC would not be playing imo if everyone was fit and Allen is not really an option for Eccles if we want to be title winner. These are the levels needed to be title winners, if we are serious about winning the title we need a squad to be better than playing whoever is fit on the day mentality we've had in the past.
Maybe we get away with it today maybe we don't

Will be the hughes situation again, piss around over a few million and end up getting someone worse. If we have a number 1 target get it done

That's a decent enough line up. There's no such thing as an easy game in this division, to use a cliché, but that team is good enough to beat Charlton.

Here's my at home, heart healthy breakfast. Hope the players had an equally powerful breakfast, not that wimpy granola and fruit non sense.

I agree, if we do go up then I reckon we'll be back in for him and paying a lot more than we would have done in the summer.

Him Hackney and rushworth should be the first 3 signings, quality English talent that will flip a mad profit in a few years

By piss around over a few million do you mean the £10M we reportedly offered and the £20M Hull valued the player at ?

We always knew we’d be dragging ourselves through December squad wise. If we can get 3-4 in the window we’ll be OK but not having the resource to fund a title squad was always the worry and just a reality of not being a parachute club.

Well Bamford said Lampard wanted him but King pulled the plug so that says it was a financial decision rather than what was right for the squad
