Cracking goals from Torp and BTA today! Rushworth deserves a big shout out for saving that shot in the first half that looked like it was going in.

First 15m looked good, rest of the first half was a bit flat. Struggled to create any big chances and thought Blackburn probably deserved a goal or 2 today.

Onto the next one! Pompey will be a tough game!

Thought Rushworth had a cracking game today. Is it 5 clean sheets in a row?

Thought we were as poor as we have been all season until we scored. Lots of players out of the swing of things. Hopefully that’s all shaken off now.

Really want to see more from EMC. And no more international duty for Wright if it brings cuck Haji back.

That was a real marker for me. Blackburn turned up like a non-league side in the cup playing their hearts out. Pressed like lunatics while we were very blaise.

Once we got the goals, they looked lost and knackered.

We've seen top teams do it for years. We've been on the wrong side of it many times where we've played well and worked very hard but lost to a better side.

It’s impossible to get a signal in the ground so having just got back I’ll give my view.

Overall we have to accept we aren’t winning every game by 5 goals.

They attacked us pretty well in the first half but the defensive combination of Thomas and Kitching gets better every week. Kitching especially was great. The keeper made the one great save he needs to.

Wright I’m sure will get low marks but he worked the defenders and we have in him a forward defenders fear.

Sakamoto even when not playing well has incredible energy levels. Thomas Assante the same and had his best game for the club.

Once we scored it was actually a very easy game - we then controlled it.

So many players have improved under Lampard.

It was the same the year they got relegated. Anyone who remembers that season actually looked with envy at Blues recruitment when Eustace was doing well there.
Yes remember it well. It was dire recruitment then and it's dire recruitment now. You'd think whoever their head of recruitment is must be under some pressure.

Wright understandably looked like he was in a different time zone. Simms another very good substitute performance.

So proud of the treatment Ellis gets. Everyone genuinely behind him to do well when he comes on. Cos we can be right bellends to players sometimes. Helps when you’re top of the league I guess.

He got some stick in the Luton game early in the season I think. Overall I think the crowd is relatively supportive but as you say more so when we're just generally doing well.

The tempo was the biggest culprit today I thought and it may have been against the orthodoxy that the breakthrough came from broken play around the pen area,is that a sound judgement?
