Simms and Wright trying hard but they just have such a frustrating lack of aggression in attacking chances. Not sure how you teach that.

Didn’t look a foul watching the replay but Wright has to keep running at Bacuna who is still making risky tackles despite being on a yellow.

O'Hare short passing has gone to pot since his goal

We are guilty of over playing at times, not playing the quick ball that's on

Things would could do better but overall I thought we were very good that half. Should have had a pen too.
Sakamoto has Buchanan on toast and I fucking love O'Hare.

We look to have a bit of chemistry and some of our play has been excellent. Bidwell behind Wright, and MvE behind Sakamoto means we are a serious threat coming down the sides. The only issue again is that final quality, as we should be about three up. Central midfield been guilty of dithering a bit, and it is clear to see why we have a much higher XG than our league position.

More of the same second half and let's build a cushion.

Coventry, England
Fairly decent half, O’Hare, van Ewijk and Sakamoto the stand outs. Sheaf doing his job defensively but has been dreadful with the ball. The strikers still both looking very, very unconvincing. Simms may have the worst first touch I’ve ever seen from a pro footballer and Wright’s footballing instinct seems non-existent. The amount of times he gets beaten to the ball because he doesn’t anticipate a defender coming in behind him is staggering. Good for our lead but should probably be another one up. Stansfield looks dangerous for them.

As a whole we look pretty good , any problem they cause us is usually because we made a mistake
Definitely, we’re making too many unforced errors just when we’re about to make a dangerous attack forwards. Still seem to be lacking the confidence going forwards from the midfield to our wingers but so far pleased with the way we’re controlling the game.

Hmm, came on to say just the same thing - he put us in trouble a couple of times.

Anyway, pleased he got his goal. Allen always an outlet from the keeper and carrying it into midfield well, Sheaf guilty of hesitating a couple of times, Wright guilty of running into cul-de-sacs, Simms guilty of passing a ball when he's trying to trap it.

But tbh I'm maybe looking for faults as we've looked good, sharp, should have had a goal or two more maybe. Let's hope Rooney is indeed shit, doesn't change much, and we get those goals in the second half.

Really good half. We we deserve the lead, but we really need that second goal. So many good performances.

O'Hare looks much fitter and sharper today. Really need to get him to sign a new contract.

Wright's movement is excellent if the ball is played into him, not so good with his back to goal.
