CLIVE PLATT is set to join Norwich City on loan for the rest of the season, the Telegraph can reveal.
The Coventry City striker looks set to agreee a short-term switch to Carrow Road before the deadline day on Thursday.
However the Sky Blues will not be bringing anyone in due to the growing financial crisis at the club - despite the desperate need for emergency cover at centre-half.

But if City decide to let him hook up with his former Colchester manager Paul Lambert, it will be to get another player off the books at a time when they are clearly not prepared to increase a wage bill that is already bleeding the club dry.

.................................

Now I know the paper has never exactly been high brow, but...

"bleeding the club dry"
"desperate for emergency cover"
