I left Coventry in 2010. I only ever come back to visit a daughter and a brother in law. Daughter lives off Broad Lane and brother in law lives in Walsgrave, so I don't ever need to drive around the city any more, coming from where I now live. However, there was once a couple of years ago, I needed to head towards town. I got totally lost around the Station area towards Warwick Rd!
I was a city bus driver for 8 years and a city taxi driver for 3 years, both back in the 80's and 90's, so it was a bit embarrassing!

It’s designed to confuse mate so they can give you a ticket.

Think Livingstone baths has gone. 😀
I think there was a bit of footage of the Livingston baths in that 'Cov after the Blitz' documentary recently posted here.

Anyone been up Elle’s at Friargate yet?

Think we’re venturing up there Sunday afternoon for a couple of drinks and a bit of live music.
First Ive heard of it - just checked the web page and it looks really nice. Let us know how you get on!

We went up after the Oxford game . For us it worked well, sit down and everything comes to you , drinks , ( food which was really good ) . It had a decent vibe. The proximity to the train station was great and we could get off home swiftly. Just scan the bar code on your table and sit back and enjoy. The staff need to be kept on their toes to make sure people aren’t waiting but overall it worked pretty good 👍

Suede have had their show cancelled at the Empire on Monday, i originaly had tickets but sold them on because of the Middlesbrough game. I think it has something to do with the fire escapes out of action because of all demolishment works. It looks poor on the City as people were coming from all over the country and abroad according to some of the comments I saw.
