Were they loud then? We were central stand I didn' hear anything from them all night. Not sure how it came out on the tele but my best away atmosphere all season from start to finish. Felt we were a genuine 12th man last night.Notts County had the best home support I have heard for 10 years.

I have said before, my family history goes back almost a thousand years to Nottingham and so many of my relatives were County supporters.Got to be honest, I have a massive soft spot for County. They were my Dads childhood team, I’ve been going to Nottingham all my life to see grandparents and I spent three years at Uni there. I’ve always looked out for your results and wished you well.
Well, I did up until I saw how your manager sets you up this season. Like Lincoln you’re a team that doesn’t just “fight hard”, you outright cheat at every opportunity and it’s disgusting to watch. From rolling about on the floor trying to get others sent off, to attacks off the ball and all the rest. The fact that a couple of decisions went against you for me is just “live the the sword, die by the sword”. Your entire game plan relies on poor refereeing.
I’d be gutted if I’d had those decisions against me, just as I was gutted that McNulty was incorrectly called offside when through on goal (a likely goal), and that we were playing against 11 men instead of 10 in the second half. Difference is my team played the game the way it should be played and if they hadn’t won it’d have been a victory for the dark arts.
what score was the headbutt - was it before the disallowed goal? noway he should have stayed on for that- and with VOR that was a straight red
I think it was after the outright foul by Stead on Grimmer, to stop Grimmer blocking the first Notts goal. It was certainly after the handball by Stead in the pen area last week.
Thanks for that post. Nice to get a response without the hatred we have had from Saturday's draw. I like Nottingham. Again on Friday I got to meet some more friendly peeps. Yes, the officials got some decisions wrong, but level of referees in L2 have been doing that all season. No different. What angered me the most was the way Notts County set up to intimidate. Following through on tackles was nasty. It is what it is, so good luck next season. I hate to say this, but we still have one more game to win yet. A genuine congratulations on your win and your travelling support last night. Meadow lane always looks poor for the cameras as the Sirrel stand (opposite the camera gantry) is either empty or full of opposition support! However you played a part in the atmosphere, and whilst the result was a primary factory, having the away section taking over the acoustics from about 80min onwards was both bitter and sweet.
Firstly, that was our "England 1-4 Germany" last night, no 2 ways about it. A lot of our fans feel chated and i have to agree. Whilst we were outplayed - and unusually outfought - for the first half, we got a late lifeline that changed both teamtalks. We came out in the 2nd as we should have started the first, and, less said about the second "goal", the better. At 2-2 with the momentum shifted, it would have been entirely different game and.....anyway, its like the Aunty, balls and Uncle situation though, it is what it is. Over the course of a season fortunes always level out so we shouldn't complain.
If I am honest, without any black and white specs, we didn't deserve it; not just on last night, but dare I say it, on the season. Our hardworking team of journeymen scraped and battled to a lot of early wins, but faded from jan onwards. They are now a year older, and would not have fared well against the likes of Gillingham, Bristol Rovers etc. Let alone the giant resources of Sunderland, Barnsley, Bradford, Charlton etc. We were fading as a team (clear top in Dec to 5th), whereas you seemed to be hitting a stride this calender year.
I know one or two Coventry fans personally and they enthuse about your youth system and local products, and therefore, it would seem you are indeed geared better to build whilst we still have a slightly sandy foundation. A day out at Wembley is always nice, but genuinely, I don't think we are ready. Nevertheless, we shall lick wounds, rebuild, and go again.
I was very impressed by the movement of your front two all night, you looked dangerous every time you attacked and whilst it might be down to some of our own immobility, hopefully it shows us what we are missing in our own team.
I wish you all the best for Exeter next week, if for no other reason, I want Coventry City out of the way as you'd be another thorn next season The better side won. Good luck from an exiled Magpie!
Finally, I always like to offer opposing fans memories of players we've share as clubs
- so here's my three, "John Williams (hence the username)", "David Pipe" and "Richard Duffy" (not the centre half that rutted with your forward last night!).
Great post always have a soft spot for county after beating Luton to relegate them instead of us, I guess you and your fans are feeling a little aggrieved at some decisions I know we would too if the roles were to be reversed good luck for next season ...top fellaHi all,

Yep I agree. Hope it doesn’t bite us on the assWhether it was a foul or not (both were at it, Stead was just stronger), the ball literally trickled past his foot so, if he was more aware, he could’ve knocked it out for a corner. That said, I imagine some referees may have given a foul — same with the ‘headbutt’, people have been sent off for less, but a red would’ve been harsh.
I haven’t seen the handball incident from last week, but this ‘victim’ narrative of Notts County and the Nottingham press is annoying. Firstly, the pen that wasn’t a foul, was evened out by the ref missing a ‘clear’ handball (from what I gather). In that game we were the better side anyway, particularly in the first half. Secondly, yes the ‘equaliser’ was onside, but McNulty was called off twice when he wasn’t, and he was through on goal the first time, on a 1v1, I’m backing McNulty to score. The defending for our 3rd goal was terrible, so they’ve only got themselves to blame.
Overall, Notts County were very unlucky, but there were decisions that went there way. On the ‘headbutt’, you couldn’t have had too many complaints had he been shown a red, it was plain stupid. If Notts went down to 10 men at 2-0, it’s game over. Let them cherry pick the ‘injustices’ they were handed...
