Sisu could confirm the ownership arrangements of not just the ricoh, should they ever own it but also any new ground, should they ever build one, with a simple statement outlining what it will be and what it means for the future of the club.

Yet they haven't/won't.

Does that not seem odd to you? This one simple public statement, assuming that it will actually benefit the club, would take minimum effort and gain maximum support, again, assuming it's the best deal for the club.

I'm all for putting pressure on the council to do a deal with sisu. But wouldn't it be sensible to understand what this would mean for the club before blindly supporting it.

For me this protest was always going to fail for that reason.

Forget "what else do you expect CCC to do". I want to know what sisu will do before I'm going to get behind any sort of protest campaign to try and force CCC to do anything.

Such a pity the "Sixfield posse" couldn't do the same at Northampton eh? considering there was a big protest going to happen inside the stadium from the ones who hated SISU. but were just "Following the boys"

More than SISU are willing to pay on behalf of their investors.

If it was just a football stadium they were after then not much without a football club. But by the sounds of it Joy even wants the surrounding land. Land don't need a football club. Neither does a hotel or casino. Neither does conference space.

Would any deal for the Ricoh include the land then?

Is there much land though? Other than the Ricoh's car park?

That's enough to sell and turn into apartments or hotels. Either way it's money.

What was achieved by 3 blokes shouting outside Sisu HQ at the weekend? Nothing, but everyone on here holds them up as freedom fighters or something.

Anyone who gets off their arse and does something is okay in my book, regardless of whether or not they actually achieve something.

Seriously, some of you lot need to take a look at yourselves.

It wasn't three though, was it? You're being sarcastic to demean those who travel to protest against our owners; who did move the club to Northampton. Yes praise those who 'get off their arse' and complain against the council, who didn't force the move.

Forgive my observation, but that seems a confused stance. Is it National Irony Day?

I want them to sell it to CCFC.

Forgive me again, but this won't happen, will it? Do you really think that SISU, if they were able to buy the freehold, would unify the football club and the stadium in one business? I'm sorry, but that simply would not happen

What deal?

How are they supposed to do a deal if Joy won't negotiate? Joy has said that she wants everything unencumbered. That is it. No negotiations. No nothing. CCC have said they are prepared to have talks. If they had refused talks it would have been on the offal by now.

I have nothing against anyone trying something. But it seems as though some think it will make a difference. It might if both sides were being realistic, but they certainly are not.

And my reply to you was how could a deal be made if SISU won't put in an offer or negotiate?

Not really brain science is it.

How can they put an offer in of no one apart from ACL know how much it is worth?

Just because the majority have a particular opinion.. it doesn't automatically make them right. Everyone is to blame - not just SISU.

I'm saying you have no evidence that they haven't - and your lame reply is proof.

There is no evidence they will not negotiate
There is no evidence they only want the freehold and wouldn't actually take a long lease (ML said they would)
There is no evidence they would charge the club millions in rent if they owned the ground
They is no evidence they would pile debt onto the ground
There is no evidence that they couldn't have the unencumbered freehold (before you start ive seen businesses with sub contracts get taken over)

All the evidence you have gathered have been council based quotes. Its not facts and its not evidence.

3 people turned up at one of the Sisu HQ protests. And well done to those 3. Where's the irony you pretentious tit? You just sit on your arse trying to find faults in anything those you feel 'oppose' you write. They were Cov fans outside the council today and they were Cov fans outside Sisu. But for most of the idiots on here, one group is better than the other. One group face demands to see their manifesto and the research methods and raw data to back up their figures. The other group are seen as heroes. I will say it again, well done to both groups.

This site is infested with idiots.

They don't need the freehold, so if ML is being honest when he says they will consider a long lease then let's crack on with buying out ACL's stake in IEC and move forward. It really is that simple.

However, you can perhaps understand a reluctance of CCC/ACL to enter negotiations with a group of people who have made a very focussed attempt to drive the business into distress. First with the boycott, now with relocating the team-I can see why anybody would be reluctant to deal with such folk.

Unless of course there was never a rent strike but an agreed reduction masked as matchday costs

Matchday costs are paid by clubs up and down the country, despite Tim Fisher's best attempts at disguising it as rent. Withdrawing the club, however, is an unmistakeable attempt to drive ACL into financial difficulty.

Doesn't look like it's worked so far either.

I have a life and don't wait for your biased attacks on CCC as you always do.

What proof do you have that they want to negotiate? They asked for a lower rent. They got offered it. Turned it down and said they wanted F+B. Turned it down. Got offered an even lower rent and F+B. Less than paying in Northampton. Worth millions more in income. Turned it down and said they wanted nothing less than the unencumbered freehold. Do you call that negotiating?

Joy said that she would only accept the unencumbered freehold. Are you calling her a liar?

Are you saying you have proof that they won't charge our club a high rent when they charge our club 1.8m interest on the debt they have run up trying to get the Ricoh on the cheap?

Why do they want the freehold when there is no benefit over a long term rental agreement? How will they make money for their investors?

They could have the unencumbered freehold if CCC used taxpayers money to pay off contracts, but as we know SISU wouldn't want them to do this. That is why we await the JR.

Council based quotes? Make your mind up. You normally complain that they never make any comments. Now you say I make my mind up from the comments they make

You say I don't have any proof on anything I say. All we have to do is look at the way they have done everything so far. So what proof do you have that they will suddenly look after our club and fans? None as usual.

Do your contact lenses make you blind to the truth as well as your phone?

The JR i believe will seek to prove the council and ACL agreed to a reduced rent and call it matchday costs until such time that sisu took ownership. We shall wait and see if the evidence is there or not.
