Does the council agree with SISUs insinuations that CCFC needs access to more revenues in order to really compete at Championship or Premier League level?

Will the council and councillors be willing to reset their relationship with SISU for the good of the club, and if so, what support can be provided to enable a Ricoh Return?
If not, what needs to happen to enable this reset?

What would the Council classify as the biggest risks in the Ricoh Arena saga, for example Wasps ongoing viability or the Europe complaint? Are there any risks we are unaware or that have not been shared?

Well done chaps for getting the meeting. You’ve done more than almost everyone to help the club, so far.

One question. Why is it impossible to deal with the club and SISU?

I think any action about removing Councillors and/or the removal of support by the Public for the forthcoming, 'Coventry: City of Culture" event, will need to wait until we hear back from this meeting.

As freeholders, do CCC hold any rights, provisions or restrictions over the sub-letting of the Ricoh by ACL? Has CCC requested that any additional legal provisions be considered within the discussions between Wasps and CCFC? Would CCC be willing to go on the record to confirm that they do not require any additional legal provisions to be considered?

Any business needs to maximize its control of its income.
If CCFC believe this is best achieved by owning a new stadium will CCC co-operate fully on any parts that they have to be involved with?
Were genuine attempts made to find land for a stadium within CCC borders? - seeing as they have this specialist team set up.
Seeing as Wasps & CCFC were prepared to use an arbitrator to try and sort out their differences are CCC prepared to do the same to sort out their issues with SISU? (probably just a pat politician's answer to this one but maybe worth asking)

I have a question.

In recent years, clubs who have found themselves ‘exiled’ from their city, the local council have played a big role in delivering Rotherham and Brightonnew stadiums...

In what circumstances would CCC be willing to offer support for our proposed new stadium?

For example, would the CCC be willing to loan the club any money as Rotherham council had done.

They presumably feel pressured into at least granting a meeting. No point giving them an excuse to back out.

Edit: Agenda is an easy request, but agree questions might be showing your hand a bit.

Well done Pete and Mark.

Would they allow you to record it so there's no mistaking any subsequent reports of what was said? Or if not, are you allowed to take along an experienced minute taker?

Really need to ask questions about the economic cost to surrounding businesses that are missing out on a potential 400000 footfall over a season in the championship. What will the Council do if we get promoted to the Premiership (long shot i know but Leicester won it!)

To be honest I'd rather they were prepared with facts and figures than just say things like "we'll have to look in to that" or "I don't have the exact figures to hand"

I like the question regarding how councils have helped their football clubs to thrive in their own city i.e Rotherham ! Will the council hold a celebration for the team as we did win promotion or will we Ask Andy Street to do one in Birmingham for us?

Can you ask why a Coventry Assett was sold to a Hedge Fund and what benefit are we as tax payers receiving from it!

I'd also like to know why they negotiated with the club in bad faith while trying to refinance the Yorkshire bank loan and why they were courting Wasps in 2012

Most of these questions can easily be batted away with stock statements about how they'd love CCFC to come home but it's a private commercial negotiation they aren't part of, or how they don't discuss ongoing legal issues.

Need to work on confirming or denying they're part of negotiations first. The lawyers won't let them discuss anything around the historic deals with Sisu or the sale of the stadium while there's investigations open. All the 'economic impact' stuff rests on the assumption that it's in CCC's gift to get CCFC home, which you haven't proven yet.

Similarly, need concrete statements about not impeding any new stadium at planning. Less Corbyn, more Starmer.

Why should we be so keen to return to playing in a franchise rugby club’s stadium?
We need our own ground if we are going to actually progress.

couldn’t agree more, it will just be a PR exercise with limited information given with a few violinists hired in to sit in the room and play some sad tones when prompted. Personally and no offence guys (well done on what you have done) but I would cancel as it could be hours in your life you won’t get back! The people of Coventry collectively need to add pressure through contacting Their local councillors, petitions, voting and also highlighting the City’s plights further afield using media etc.
Sorry again but also admire your determination to get our club back in Cov #pusb

Just saw the money from ccc going to the franchise to refurbish the Ricoh, this is going to be nothing but a council PR exercise and it’d be better to not meet them.

Really? It may well be a PR exercise, but if so, you can then call them out for that. It is easy for them to hide behind their laptops, and closed door meetings, but Pete and Mark should be applauded, and I am sure they will not allow the Council reps to wriggle away.

They are not going to win either.

Best way is to influence things is try and influence one of the big 2 parties, all you need is councillors who are not part of the current clique.

Say what you want about her other views but the fact that Zarah Sultana is from outside the local cov political clique has led to her being far more open to helping CCFC.

Ask why CCC are giving wasps 3-5 million for improvements to Ricoh when they are receiving 18 million from the sale of a share of the Rubgy partnership to CVC Capital which the Rugby Chief Executive urged them to spend on infrastructure?

I fully applaud Pete and Mark but unfortunately I don’t see it achieving anything and will be full of spin and bullshit.

IMO as much as we'd all like to know about things that went on in the past its of limited benefit in terms of moving things forward. Would rather persistent questioning to get an answer on key points than go in with a list of 50 questions, think that lets them brush aside the ones they don't want to answer.

I imagine they’re getting uncomfortable with the success of the football club and a shift away from SISU being to blame for it all. I expect this will be their attempt to try and reignite that.

Thinking about the new stadium. I reckon the best line is “will you promise not to object based on the existence of the Ricoh (duplication of functionality, lack of need, etc)”. They won’t be able to give a general refusal to object in case Sisu propose a smog spewing three hundred foot stadium shaped like Ann Lucas being buggered by a Wasp in the middle of green belt. But shouldn’t be objecting based on the Ricoh as the situation there has become unsustainable.

You’re looking to tease out two things IMO: CCC to distance themselves from Wasps requests for the Ricoh action to stop (not just didn’t ask for it but don’t need it and it’s all on Wasps), and to accept that it’s up to CCFC what is viable for CCFC not what’s viable in CCCs opinion.

Apologies if already mentioned, but do they know how much money the local economy has lost due to CCFC playing in Birmingham? If not, shouldn't they? If they do, then is that not a concern, and how do they justify that loss to those directly impacted? How are they supporting those impacted?
